Do you think this is doable in a canoe right now with the high water levels? There's one overhung corner I remember that gets a little swift and potentially tricky to navigate.
Just did it. 1000+cfs is not a piece of cake or for first time canoeists, but adventurous and keeps you on your toes. Requires decent maneuvering skills, strong paddlers, good teamwork. Lots of swirly currents. Approach turns on the inside and power out to not hit walls or brush. Water is fast. Don't get sideways. Good luck!
