Flock to Marion Prions(Whalebirds)
Prions are the LBJs of the seabird world; they mainly feed on planktonic crustaceans, which they filter from the water with fine hairs(Lammellae) on the sides of their bills. Hence their alternative name, "whalebirds." We had the good fortune to capture five of the species listed on Faansie Peacock's Firefinch app, which was launched for this First Ever Cruise to Prince Edward Island and Marion Island.
