If you get the heat more direct the colors will pop way more vibrant. I have been using the pro chem for a bit now and it really seems to react to heat more than anything.

Square pans work better unless you want to do a drag to the center. Totally different effects.

Square pans also waste more floetrol & ink. I don't mind the effect the oversized disc does, everyone does it their own way these days. I made this back when no one had a tutorial & others have improved from here. Thank you for commenting!

How much oil?

I used 4 drops of the silicone oil in these vids. Now-a-days, I'll use 4 drops in each paint cup for more cell reactions.

Nice cell formation! Best mixture tutorial I have found so far, as well. Getting a full coverage swipe on round beds are pretty tricky,. Can't bring myself to use any of the plentiful rectangular pans because of the waste of materials they require, so I'm still holding off until I can find a more appropriate/efficient size square pan. Did the disc just need to set a little longer, or does that plastic just not take the dye as well as other premium plastics? I know some of my Innova Pro plastics are really hit and miss when it comes to saturation levels.

I agree that the oversized discs are tough to get an even spread on the cells. I've modified paint trays for a smaller rectangle shape, but I do still waste materials that way. That Virus probably needed more time under the heat lamp to get more vibrant colors as Neutron plastic is one of the better plastics to dye.
