High tide of 6.40 metres at Scarborough 11 March 2024. Flooding and high waves on Foreshore Road, South Bay. Road blocked of later to traffic. Arcades had their flood defences up.

Some poor unsuspecting people will end up buying pre owned cars, not knowing the interior subframes have had sea water damage ! Hence most cars on the coast are rot boxes. If you are buying a used vehicle from anywhere, then it's worth it to get a camera survey inside the sub frame/chassis. Gaz Yorkshire coast

Not even the risk of them being swept away but they could be dashed against the wall or fencing, very silly. I recall walking along the lower promenade and a wave coming over my head just near here 😂
