FLOODING IN GERMANY: It remains dangerous in Görlitz on the Neisse! Poland in distress
The flood situation along the Neisse in Görlitz remains tense, although water levels have dropped compared to recent days. In Poland, however, particularly along the Neisse, the situation has taken a more critical turn, with rising water levels and devastated cities. Prime Minister Donald Tusk promised 240 million euros in emergency aid. In Görlitz itself, flood level 1 has been declared, but the dykes are very waterlogged. Authorities are warning the population to stay away from the banks as the danger remains.
