Excellent! Well done. Great camera work/lighting/explanations. Not the problem I have with my jack handle, but fun to see the process you went thru with the sketch, then a CAD drawing, then the use of the various tools. I love it when I get a chance to use some tools I don't use very often - chop saw, band saw, LATHE! Yeah!, and tig (I've only got a mig, but that's fine). And I really like how you sped up the video thru the various actions where it's appropriate. Thanks!
Nice fix. I came looking for a fix for my jack handle. Mine did not break off. I have problems releasing the jack sometimes. My handle has a socket in the handle and that sometimes does not seat all the way down therefore you can't turn the release on the jack. I need a round tuit so that I can fix it. Nice weld btw.
Hi I got a 1985 sears floor jack the handle will not turn left of right feels like its locked up teeth on gear wont move. Hope you can help Thanks for ur video
use a friend's tools, or if you are inexperienced with said tools have a friend or someone else do it. or buy a new jack. you kinda need the tools to do the job, if you don't have access to the tools then you just cant. i would recommend trying to find a shop who is willing to help you out because that's a huge waste to just buy a new jack when there's a possibility of a repair. if you cant find a shop just buy a new jack from a reputable seller who has a history of long lasting tools and a good warranty like snap-on who has lifetime warranty.
