Henk was casted in the Dutch version of the Phantom so is bound to know the character really well. Which he totally brought out here it's amazing. Loved the Nightwish version and I was petitioning for them to do this from the start... And it's everything I hoped

She'll still be hitting that note in 20 years time ... because of her perfect technique Look at the likes of Jess Glynne and Adele - terrific singers constantly getting into trouble, needing throat surgery (unfortunately, in both cases, their "throatiness" is the main attraction - and it's the only way they know how to sing .. but it's abusive to their larynxes!) Floor is like Tom Jones and Sarah Vaughan - the older she gets, the more awesome her voice will be. She can sing anything! Heavy metal, opera (as you do ..), pop, shows, anything .. (except jazz - I've not heard her sing jazz yet ...)

floor did a great job, no question. but she had some misstakes in this song. but HE was a beast, nailed the song and really feelt it! how he acted was just incredible!

I work in Netherlan for two years and i was surprised almost nobody knew about Floor, let alone about Nightwish. I'm glad that things changed, thx to this show. Floor Jansen is an amazing singer, best to listen live wich is perfection for me. PS: i love Netherland! :)

No she is not nailing every song, if you are a true fan of Nightwish you chould also know that Tarja have lot`s of more feeling to this song and many other songs of nightwish too. Floor is wherry good but she is harder at some songs than Tarja. Nemo is one of them and this song. But then again, Floor is not a opera singer ether so there you go.

@@tommyaleks100 Well Tarja might sound more operatic but does not claim to be an opera singer either. As for the rest, its much down to opinion. I never liked Nightwish before floor as I did not like the big vibrato from Tarja. As for Nemo, they are closer together in terms of quality, but I still prefer Floor on that one. There are very, very few songs with Tarja which which come close to Floor. Sleeping sun and stargazers come to mind.

And they have done more together, absolutely fabulous duo.

his decades of experience really shows. He really brings the theatrical style to his singing. I love that twirl he does before going hard in the 2nd half. I came for floor, but Hank impressed me just as much.

Henk was “the Phantom” in the Dutch production.

Then you really have to listen to the song the sound of silence of Henk Poort @ de beste zangers! It's awesome!!

Now he just has to write some songs that make use of this power. Endless forms was a bit bland in that regard.

Henk didn't go unnoticed !!! he was embraced by the nightwish army (internationally) for this performance

I would love to see Henk as an invited artist for either an upcoming nightwish studio album or live performance.

His work here is truly amazing, I'm not sure about his track record but for this performance he offers an absolutely marvelous reflection for Floor's more wandering and wistful tones. He understands the role of the phantom, a very dark character, and that's why he sounds so convincing. Of course even if he's acting superbly alone it won't do much and together with Floor's interpretation of Christine it gives them the opportunity to bounce off each other.

@@chardonnay5767 I'd recommend you Google "het spook van de opera" the original Dutch version ("Nederlandse versie") and listen to the performance by him and Joke Cruijff from 30 yrs ago. You'll be blown away, I think.

As a child, Floor adored Henk. That's why it is so much fun to see her singing with her hero. (Most Nightwish fans can't understand this, but Henk played the Phantom when she was just a kid)

Floor Jansen, she sings in Nightwish and also solo. On the 8th of December 2023 she has a show at AFAS Amsterdam. The Netherlands.

I watched as many "reactors" reacting to this song as I could find, and then I came here and watched a million more times lol.

@@benjr4057 Sorry, I'm on the other side of the world, in Brazil, and I saw that Floor is our Goddess, but her potential is so great that the Dutch don't seem to realize, after Beste Zangers they saw that there is a Goddess in their country. So much so that her solo mini tour had all tickets sold in a single day, shows that reallity showed a lot about Floor's unmatched talent.

I'm Dutch and not a metal fan, just a music fan in general. Tbh I didn't know of Floor either untill this show. Floor does not live in the Netherlands and her music has the label: metal. And "most" (not wanna trigger the fan boys), people do not listen to that kind of music here. Also, when she performs, it's on rock festivals or concerts in Germany or Sweden. So, it's not really strange that the majority in the Netherlands did not know her before. But now she's known she will be carried as one of our national treasures. From every corner of society people are deeply impressed.

That's what I liked about this tv show, all the singers on it just cheered for eachother and there was no envy or pride. Just artistry

Agreed. First time seeing this show - wholly due to my interest in Floor's singing - but was pleasantly surprised to find myself lured in to the personality stories and very much opened to genres of music I would normally skip over. Very cool show and very happy I stumbled across it.....and very sorry to see it end. What a wonderful ride this has been....
