What I love about this song and presentation, is also Floor's appearance - her hair - she looks totally different and beautiful with "kind of" short hair. And of course - flow of emotions from every word she sang.

My wife and I just celebrated our 57th Anniversary yesterday....Floor brings so much emotion, and empathy to all she sings, especially Dead Boys Poem, Procession, and lets not forget, The Poet and the Pendulum....We love Floor

getting over a parents divorce is hard. It kind of affected me all my life. I was 10 when they divorced. that was 33 years ago and it still makes me sad sometimes when I think of how different life could have been. Was very hard to learn how to love and trust.

Again a really nice reaction, last time you did a reaction to 2 really good bands from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 Kensington and Di-rect from the "Vrienden van Amstel live" translated friends of Amstel (beer name over here I Holland and sponsor of this event) live. Now I found two spectacular performances of them from the same concert but from another year that you must see. They perform with 2 worldwide known DJ's the songs are Fredde Le Grand & Di-rect 2016 Where we belong and Armin van Buuren 360 with Kensington 2018 Heading up High. When you see that performance you will blow away. Both are from the concerts from "Vrienden van Amstel live" enjoy 😉 !!!

You struck a nerve when you where sketching the image of two old people on a bench in a park. A long time ago, shortly after I fell in love with the girl that would become my wife, I was strolling through the 'Vondel park" in Amsterdam. And indeed there was this older couple sitting on a bench. They were probably well in their eighties. He was holding her hand in his lap. She smiled at him, as if she was saying "we had a great life together and I still love you" I never forgot that glimps of their intimate moment. I've been aiming for that for over forty years. And yeah this was an amazing rendition of an already beautiful song.

The first performance Floor gave in this show was the German 'Vilja Lied'. Let's just say many people present and in The Netherlands were completely Floored. And you should try to find the other contestants songs as well. Samantha en Ruben usually only sing in Dutch but their voices are amazing!

When I see this I'm thinking: If someone saw Floor for the first time in this video the last thing that would have occured to them is that she is a metal singer. That's how good she is, she can sing any genre and sound like she had been doing it forever Also beautiful song of course, Ruben is very talented songwriter

Showing the build up and aftermath gives so much more perspective. The official video shorts are just that - short. They cut off immediately the performance ends, missing the anticipation and then reaction of the fellow singers. And Floor, well....just perfect, again!

This song gives me tears every time. The Dutch as the English version. The lyrics comes from deep. And what i like about this channel HCR, is that you listen to what people say before and after the artists performance. It is not a song anymore, but a story. In all the series of 'Beste Zangers' that i watched, i seldom got disappointed in the artists performances and their stories. The series seems to get better and better after all these years and the personal touch is what it makes this show so big in the Netherlands.

My grandparents were married for 60 years. My parents made it till 40, sadly my dad got sick and died otherwise I'm certain they would have made it to 60 also.

I'm thirty four years married now but I work a lot with those who have or are going through a separation. I can't watch or listen to this song without thinking of them. I shed a tear every time. Floor's interpretation is just fantastic. Like a missile, bang, she hits you.

If you know the background of these songs it often strucks you harder. You had the same with the song Somewhere of Sharon den Adel and Anneke.

I know you're basically only doing Beste Zangers reactions at the moment, or at least certain artists, but Ruben Annink has a beautiful song together with the Dutch/Morrocan rapper Ali B. It's in Dutch, it's called "Terwijl Jullie Nog Bij Me Zijn" and it's also very emotional and personal. Especially for Ali though. There was a live performance on DWDD/De Wereld Draait Door six years ago. It's still on RU-vid. It's about having (small) children and watching them grow up and them starting to live their own lives and how to deal with that as a parent. Maybe you can react to it some time in the future. I'm sure you would love it. Anyway, nice reaction. An emotional song indeed.
