In this video I build the floor system on my walkout basement house addition. Set the sill plates, roll the I joists, then install the floor deck. I also finish most of the backfilling around the foundation. • House Build
You're really doing a great job for not knowing what you're doing!! And, you're walking on those joists like they're solid ground - impressive! Great editing, too!! God bless y'all! 👍🙏
@@Wolfpupfab We just finished watching the video & are like - nooooooo, don't end it yet - we need more!! 😉😆😆😆 Can't wait til the next one - so happy for you that you got the cement poured!! 👍🙌💃🙌
I once had a printing business that I named Gray Wolf Graphics, so I''m kinda into wolves myself! You and your buddies are doing a fine job, and I sure enjoy watching every new episode! So does my old dog Boomer! Keep up the good work! Woof Woof
It looks AWESOME!! It has come together so nicely! I wouldn't have been able to do it, thats for sure! And it's so cool to see the progress too.. I Discovered your chan as you were lifting the house, so it's a big transformation, thats for sure! I can't wait to see how it all ends up! :)
You can 'X' brace with Simpson Strong Tie straps made for the purpose and also have the option of using 2x lumber which actually is stiffer and a better receiver of your nails. So you don't have to stop waiting for I beams. Gluing and screwing is the only way to go. Nobody likes a floor with bounce. I like to sheet with tongue and groove 1 1/4" ply for even more stiffness. Nice job. Once its sheeted the tarp will not puddle up so that is good.
I was just coving the subfloor with a tarp to keep water from getting in the basement before the concrete was poured. Now that is poured I’m not to worried about it
ummmmm.... why didn't you epoxy those bolts into the concrete??? isn't the whole point of them to hold the frame (and thus the entire house) to the foundation???? I wouldn't think the weight of the building would hold the house down in a big storm, right? I've just never seen them done without being securely attached to the foundation with either epoxy or the bolts secured in the concrete... 🤷♂ you're the pro... I have zero experience... I just hope you didn't forget to do it lol :)
