I recently went to Gorg del Blau, a gorgeous water reservoir situated in the impressive Serra de Tramuntana in Mallorca. It was a beautiful day.
This habitat is fascinating as the conditions are quite harsh and the plants found there are pretty unique.
The plants I came across during my botanical walk were:
Euphorbia paralias
Ampelodesmos mauritanicus
Hypericum balearicum
Drimia maritima
Pastinaca lucida
Quercus ilex
This is just a glimpse of the Flora of Mallorca, there is so much to see on this beautiful island and each adorable plant has its historical, culinary and medicinal uses. The one as fascinating as the other!
I hope you enjoy discovering the flora of Mallorca and I look forward to show you so many more enchanting native mediterranean plants.
