Easiest way to get the throttle linkage off is to squeeze the throttle" on the shaft" then with the other hand hold the throttle linkage and leave go of the throttle lever. The cable normally pops out of the linkage.

Fell on to this video while looking to try and do something with my "borrowed" Florabest, as it keeps dying on medium to full throttle (as was mentioned by another commenter). Great video, and so nice to see real issues and no editing out of things going wrong! Thanks so much for making the video, its given this armature DIYer the confidence to have a go.... btw if anyone has a spare choke knob they could sell me please, (mine broke after catching it with the pull cord!!! :-) ) please let me know? I have same machine, must be at least 10 years old Have cleaned carb several times that fixed the bogging down issue, but this time it did not help I found the diaphragm to be hard, I have looked for kit but no joy so ended up getting new car from eBay for £11.00 Machine working like new now these machines are powerful when working properly a wee bit heavy tho Keep up the good work 👍🏻

Great video , With Any engine two stroke four stroke , you can do a quick assessment on it which is called prime for a good time . Pull the air filter off the engine spray carb cleaner or straight gas down the carb with throttle and choke open . Attempt to start engine it should start and run for a few seconds . this tells you that compression is good , ignition is good , timing is good . If there is no go there is more testing to do .This test shows you the most in the least amount of time .

Yeah I agree with what Henry says.. take the exhaust off and have a look at the piston and bore. That will tell you for sure..

Hi. I bought one of these 5 years ago and it sat in the shed as I didn't need it. Lost the leas on my house so moved to a flat. Now back in a house and have unboxed the strimmer and put it togeather there is 2 springs and I don't know where they go as there's a manual but no assembly guide. Could you please tell me where the springs go there is 1 small and one bigger. Ì don't want to use the strimmer till I know where the springs are ment to be. Thanks Tom

I've got the same machine not hard to pull. We'll I now have half that machine the same part you have there someone has stolen the multi tools so it's now useless to me. recommended by retro restore 👍👍

Did you make the second part, it did seem to die when on full throttle, mine does the same thing but don't want to take it apart to clean if it doesn't work.
