Floral Foam and Vase for a Cemetery Floral Arrangement 

You're welcome. And you're right, it was both Old Time Pottery and Hobby Lobby! My favorite stores for supplies for my floral arrangements!

Not sure since I always use the bronze vase that's on my husband's grave. I've not heard of any issues with the stakes in the plastic vases, but we have heavy, hard clay soil here that will hold things in really well (once you manage to get it into the soil). Perhaps inserting a longer tent stake next to it and tying some thin rope around both might help stabilize it. Sorry, that's the best I can come up with. If anyone else reading this has an idea on how to solve this problem, please share!

@mywidowedheart I have been asking around about this and was advised to use a piece of rebar. By drilling (or melting) a hole in the bottom of the plastic where the rebar can go, you can have it be much deeper than the flimsy stakes. I have not done it yet and will be putting it to the test sometime this week. ...I'm kinda excited. It's been 5 years, and I haven't been able to place flowers at his grave. Hopefully that is about to change!
