I mean, it's on the album. As a bonus track in a limited edition. But I agree, it's treatment should be different. Like, it should be a main single from the standart or the deluxe version. Simply a masterpiece.
This song for me is all about pursuing idealized, romantic love, wandering between religious, morally accepted behavior, and erratic, hedonist path, never accomplishing real satisfaction, sold as "the happily ever after", or even that love worth dying for. And I think this pursue of romantic love, switching up from heaven to hell, is in all of Florence +TM songs.

But ultimately, the realistic reality is boring and I instead made it the the theme song of a character I love who also experiences much unfair frustration and limitless ambition in their life
I honestly can't understand how someone who's got a song like this could ever even imagine not including it on the official tracklist. Together with "Pure Feeling", the two bad moves I'd say Florence did.

Her emotions on this one is so different from her others. She sounds mad abd determined. I love it. Great to listen to while walking late at night while its 70 degrees, a nice breeze and a flowy shirt.

Humans have this impossible task of needing to explain how they feel to avoid isolation and someone actually understanding you. Yet, in her voice, in the music, in all of it, you FEEL it. This album was an absolute masterpiece, although not on the album, this song resonates the emotion of the How Big How Blue How beautiful era. The Odyssey was a beautiful piece of art and is my favourite album so far.
For the many years of my life listening to my queen Florence, I think As Far As I Can Get may be my second favorite song she's ever created. (And I've listened to every single song she has sang, even her live and concert versions so this was a toughy)
I feel like she did a perfect job with this song. She's never cursed in any of her songs as far as I've noticed but since this was a special song for her vinyl album I can just imagine she wanted to have that type of old, jazz type feeling in the song
the part that says: ,,wasting your goddamn time'' is kinda painful after leaving from work to home. And I have a job that doesn't make any sense. I'm thankful for the song that finally I realized it.

I did buy the deluxe edition but is is missing As Far As I Could Get, Conductor, and Pure Feeling. Maybe its due my living in the USA. I really love all of these songs. The writing is superb.
Conductor and Pure Feeling are only on the Target deluxe edition, and As Far As I Could Get are only on the limited edition vinyl set. FATM really know how to hide their best deluxe tracks!
