You're a beast, thanks so much!! I didn't want to check too often after putting my son to bed 😂 and it's getting late BUT I'm so into this. #happyplace -Austin, TX Bruin alum
I can't wait for 2025 for Florida, they are going to be stacked. Shilese Jones, Skye Blakely, Jocelyn Sasson, Amelia Disordre, Maddy Dorbin, Kayla Dicello etc. Assuming that Vicky and Ellie take a 5th year, they will only lose Payton Richard from the lineups.
I am sure that as Florida progresses through this season they will implement their upgrades across all 4 apparatus. But I do agree the routines do look the same in terms of difficulty at the moment.
It looks like a compulsory routine. I’m really not a fan of the cookie cutter approach. They have phenomenal talent that ought to be showcased uniquely for each gymnast.
I saw them compete last year when they still had Trinity and to this day I STILL never know who to root for when I watch Florida compete with Auburn! 😵💫🥴 If not Auburn then LSU, but my God...Florida has really been my favorite team for the longest, though. I was hoping for Nya Reed to come back, but their team is always so diverse and enthralling to me. What a fun sport to watch.
I always get a little happy/sad/nostalgic thrill whenever I see Megan Skaggs and Trinity Thomas on the sidelines as asst. coaches 🥹😭 I miss seeing their beautiful gymnastics
i love when they talk about victorias floor routine and its return to classical gymnastics without knowing it’s hunter x hunter anime music and there’s a huge crazed fandom behind it lol
thank you for the meets! when will lsu v kentucky be posted? no rush! just wondering because last week it was posted by 1AM central :) watching this until then
husband speaking age 81 When the girls on the uneven bars, final swing - some do one , two or three then let go. Do they have that planned or make that decision as they are swinging for speed or what ever ?
its planned. it just depends on the dismount they’re doing. they know how many swings they need to get as much momentum they need. so yes its planned. ive never seen anything other than 2 or 3 swings
No they didn't downgrade leanne 1st pass a doublt pike? She did triple twist in yr 1,double front pike yr 2 now they downgrade it to double pike bring back thw triple leanne you bailed it better
I wonder if some of that is because of her elite training and not wanting to overdo it in college so she can focus on the Olympics this summer? but yeah I also love her triple twist, would love to see it again at some point in her time at Florida!
im not trying to start anything but does anyone else think leanne's beam might've been a bit overscored? balance check on series, slide of foot on front ariel, leg separation on double, extreme bent legs on double, and slide on landing. unless if these r all .25 deductions idk how it could've been 9.875
I don't think it is awful however there are a lot of built-in deductions like her leaps and flexed feet. I think if she works on those things including her overall consistency, and difficulty in terms of going back to her freshman three passes routine she will score very well.
