I want a single family home like this so bad.

it doesnt appear to be attached to the foundation.... this is most likely in violation of IBC/ASCE code as well as local ordinances building would have to be built with an exemption permit

The real smoke and mirrors of this build, is that you would still need to do internal framing to hide the utilities. this really doesn't save much in terms of construction, and is more expensive than standard timber construction.

1:58 one guy wearing a harness and the other guy isn’t. Lol Tons of fall hazards shown on this 3 minute video alone. I wouldn’t want to work for this company. Cool building concept though.

Doubt they ever asked an experienced climber what he would use . Also , there is nothing to latch onto

This country refuses to think differently regarding housing. Plus the industry of stick building makes a lot of people a lot of money. People in other parts of the world still use some very ancient ways of building. Using arches and circular building. Using earth mixtures and other methods. We are way behind on creative building methods.

Insulation properties? I doubt they can get home owners insurance because of fire possibilities. I’ll wait a spell. BTW, home that have lasted over 200 years… BUILT of WOOD!

I would love to see your wooden home built in 1824.

@@shortattentionspangarage1312: Look up a guy here on Utube, I think he goes by “Papi” or something like that. He tours houses that are 150 years old up to a bit more recent. On one video, he went into the basement/ cellar of a house originally built in the late 17 hundreds. The house had square off trees of incredible size. Maybe 18” to two feet? As he studies it, you can see each and every addition. To assume people were not highly skilled back in those days is wrong. Some of the homes built in the 1800’s South have the most incredibly architectural traits. The wood carving in both fireplace mantles, as well as intriguing trim around the windows, but to me, the most awesome woodwork is the banisters on staircases. I encourage you to look him up.

@@shortattentionspangarage1312: Look up a guy who goes to very old houses, some condemned, some still in beautiful condition. I can’t recall his name, I do know it starts with a “P”. I was shocked on one video that he had because not only was the home added to over the years, but it had the original “cabin” still in pristine condition. The floor of the original home are literally 2’ square beams that were probably there since the flood! Incredible craftsmanship, and built in the 1700s. It truly is incredible what many of the homes he shows have woodworking that was done with so much care, it simply blows your mind. At any rate, yes. There are homes built way back when that are almost all wood. (Windows don’t qualify as wood… just saying)

@@ohkboomer9088 not sure if you know this but many countries have wood structures that are hundreds of years old. It is common when builders take the time to properly treat wood unlike today's american build quality that lasts maybe 20 years if you are lucky. My last 2 homes had rotted foundations because american construction companies are lower quality than other developed nations. They were both new construction.

Wait a minute! A plastic drink bottle lasts about a year in the sun down here and they say these blocks will last 250 years? 😂
@jason8ification

Is that even safe to live long term? Sounds like a health and fire hazard.

@@obiwankenobi5769what logic? The man has no logic. What plastic bottle lasts a year. They last way longer than that and plus not all forms of plastic is the same. The plastic you drink from is not the same plastic you sit on in the form of a chair. 😂 Ppl can be so stewwpid I can't
