There are a lot more homeless than you think and many live in their cars. Many have jobs but can’t afford housing. You can’t criminalize homelessness. That’s not a crime. There aren’t enough shelters for them to go to.
@@Qrayon People have to get their 💩 together! They can’t stay just anywhere they like just because they don’t want shelter. So maybe you’ll be fine if people like this want to stay on your property and junk it up with human waste and drugs but other folks don’t want that and shouldn’t have to deal with it.
People have a right to live, to eat & sleep. Rather than banning…..help them! Wtf?!? Leave where? Go where? No transportation….no food This is inhumane cruelty. Homeless Ex (RN 20 yrs)
Fantastic! How much more blight do people want on the streets? I mean really....she was on private property. People need to get into shelter...and most refuse shelter. The rest of us have put up with this for long enough. Offer shelter, if they refuse, handcuffs and forced housing. If they don't like this, they can take a one way bus.
Yes , Someone needs to Reach out to these people and try to help them ,instead of just pushing them away! Also , make them clean up their messes before they leave .
you've basically sentenced that woman to potential death with all the cold out, just because her tents in your eyesight. i figured out long ago, people make money elsewhere THEN move to florida with those resources. if you're born here and have no backing or resources, you have a 50% chance of ending up like this if born here since they dont pay enough, and also look down on alot of people who are disabled or disenfranchised.
@@Rosetea405 They get cold weather too just not as often. You want to sleep outside when it's 30-40s. I keep my nighttime house temp at 59 and that's cold, what do you think 30-40s would feel like?
Yep , everyone come to Florida he said. Well they did now there are no affordable housing left for people who have been in the state forever. For the seniors . For the disabled . And he doesn’t care. He only cares about helping the rich .
@@williamshaw5388 You are the partisan chump talking trash about a Republican. I'm glad he was one of the first to get rid of lockdowns and make sure useless masks and experimental medication were not required. People wanted to move away from mandates to somewhere better. Unfortunately Blackrock and other firms bought up the houses and kept the prices high enough to make even more money selling them to the people they knew would come. Of course, raising minimum wage (like taxpayers just voted for, directly) keeps prices even higher, and the nationwide inflation made things worse.
I've been homeless now for 4 years living in my car with my dog I already talked to a lawyer about this if for some reason they arrest me and take my car and take my dog I will sue the county
They are trying to do this properly to send them to California . In flordia they want help you but they will get you a buss ticket to Cali. Flordia properly allready haves the state of California here
A whole $70,000 a year?!? Hahaha, this is the cost of one ambulance ride, Florida has a lot to learn about cost effectiveness, how much more it costs the state to NOT provide services. But yeah go ahead with your "pull your self up bootstrap" bullshit
BASIC NEEDS OF BODY: 1. Minimum 8.5 hours of sleep everyday 2. Healthy clean organic food everyday 3. Your own private space that you own and are not a slave to 4. Livable wages that can pay all expenses effortlessly in cash. No debt credit cards or loans to pay basic needs. 5. 8 hours of creativity throughout the day (not drugery working) 6. Only 3.5 days of working a week paid livable wages to cover all expenses in cash 7. Plenty of time remaining to pray, meditate, hug your family, raise a family, heal those you suffer
@@poollife777 Jesus lived in a time where everyone helped each other willingly and he never was hungry, not clothed nor cared for by all whom believed in him. He was a carpenter and had no master. He swapped his services for the things he needed. No capitalism needed.
@@STOP.Deleting.Truth.Comments And he slept on public land, private land, boats and the temple steps. No one cared. There were probably many who did the same throughout history. If we are going to pretend we have conquered homelessness, we need to put the money where our mouth is.
I use to live in Florida I raised my 4 they children their . they are all in their 40s. This is unacceptable. The cost of living in is out rages and the taxs . Shame on you Governor DesSantas .
@@walte153 yes I know I lived.there . Property taxes and higher county taxes are high . I I know about the experience in Florida . I lived there for many years . I have many friends around Florida who have been there all their lives or over half their lives . I'm in my 60s . Peace out .
@@walte153 But there are taxes we don't see. I went into Walgreens and got a container of ice cream. On the receipt it charged me a tax. I know there is no tax on food, so this surprised me. I looked it up online, and sure enough, certain food items and places purchased can charge tax on food. Takeout food is also taxed. Groceries are not, as long as it's food. Pet food is taxed. Non-edibles are taxed. But at the end of the year we don't file a state tax return. So yeah, there are state taxes here.
Man, isn't capitalism awesome? It's so cool how so many people have so little while a few have almost everything. We should totally worship the people who have more and shame those who have less.
Yes, we should all move to the street just to prove something to those nasty people who’ve actually worked hard to make something of their lives and to contribute to society. Homeless for everyone!!
She named everything but drugs and laziness….I was f!!!ed up on the streets got it back together it takes checking yourself and changing your priorities
@a405 That's not true. We have a lady in my online disability group out of state who has been living in her car because she can't find an apartment that will take her rent voucher...they all have massively long waiting lists. This has been going on for months. She wants a place to live but we have so many homeless now that there are just not any openings for her. And the city she lives in made it illegal to park and sleep anywhere so she has to keep moving her car to get a little rest. On top of that she's ill so much so that she's on social security disability but it isn't enough with the skyrocketing rents.
@@Rosetea405 The homeless are not all drug abusers or alcoholics. We need to get our head around what has changed. Whole families are living in tents now. Working people are living in tents and cars. And without more government help with OUR taxes, it will get worse. We pay all our lives into the tax pool, federal, state, city and county. But when the greed of corporations make it impossible to afford to live in a safe home, the government doesn't use our tax money to help us. That's what taxes are for, in part. To help all of us in times of trouble. But our government uses taxes however they wish, and ignore those of us who pay even their salary. Even churches don't help oftentimes. I'm thinking of the old, "Alms for the poor!"
ok people this a vary eazy fix you just have to chang you name for homeless to migrant and you get free busing to your sanctuary city/state and after that houseing for free Free food of your liking or money to buy food debit card up to 10,000 dallers and no laws stop you from shoplifting with No jail time and you can bet the hell out those cop and get out that sameday with just a little name chang you can go from the bottom to the top of American living
Uhmm. I thought there were no homeless in red states . You know , that they know how to handle this situation. Apparently , the homeless are having trouble pulling up their bootstraps.
That's not christian. You ever noticed when a street preacher goes out preaching the people that call there self Christian s are normally the one getting upset at the preacher that is actually doing what Jesus says. .
