The scenic Ocklawaha River located in Central Florida was once a popular tourist attraction for northerners coming to see wild Florida. Ever since a dam went up in the 1960’s environmentalists have pushed to remove the dam and take the river back to the way it was. However, some locals like the massive lake created by the dam and the new ecosystem in place.
