Watched Mertz get hit hard after every pass last year and still having a good year,100% chance the O'line will be better.

My starting linebackers… Shemar James, Pup Howard and Jaden Robinson. This group should be much better this year and we have some good depth with Graham, Chiles, Wingo, Nunnery and Spuerlock.

We only use two starting backers and a jack, none of the three you named play jack.

Thank you. I been calling for that same lineup for weeks. Your youngsters (Harris, Kearney) can't learn behind transfers every year. Put them on the field.

Easy. They take their fundamentals for granted until their actually faced with them and can't do them.

Even with Mullen that has been the story of the gators the last decade. Hardly have ever just been flat out “outplayed” the last 7 or so years, always some goofy breakdown on defense, penalty, or special teams error. All the damn talent in the world but just can’t seem to put it together

Riding Wilson, but will the playcalling do that? Example, the FSU game Wilson and Pearsall got 5 combined touches. There definitely are possibilities. I’m glad Callaway is getting involved since he has called top offenses. Something that in data cannot be said for our currently named play caller/designer.

FSU game probably not a great example given Max Brown was QB and clearly not ready.

And yet, I’m sure the pop passes and screens (by far the #1 types of completion in 2023 for the Gators) would not have been beyond Brown’s ability in year 2 under Napier’s tutelage. If so, makes me wonder talent eval and/or development. Good playcallers will still find their way to get their top guys the ball. Also, it’s like people want to point how we perform against LSU’s awful defense as an indicator and cower at talking about performances against Utah, Kentucky, and Georgia.

@@edwardbloom6999 It’s been said the offense got better as the year went on. It did with plenty of room to get better.

@@GatorsBreakdown It did get a little better, but the defenses also got a lot easier overall as well. Mizzou missing their top linebackers helps. But by no means was this offense going to compete with top teams. I think a top 25 offense in scoring and yards, and a top 30 passing attack is a must in year 3 returning all that production. But if it’s bottom half of SEC, it will still have excuses made and be wildly defended as if teams can’t have difficult schedules and still put up decent numbers. I don’t subscribe to the notion it takes 5 years and seniors at every position to be lethal. I’d name examples, but no one wants to talk reality, just finding spin and excuses
