A hurricane took off my fla room two years ago and I just now got it back up but a lot better this time. I just have a old trailer on my own land. I can’t afford to redo it again. I was so heartbroken when I was able to get home and see all the damage it cost. Since my place is old I can’t get anyone to insure it and that’s just so wrong everyone should be able to get it no matter what

If I lived in Central FL, I would start preparing right now so that you're not caught up with the masses that are gonna be scrambling for wood, gas, etc.

The Euro is far more accurate than the GFS as we saw with Irma. The GFS hasn't been updated for almost 20 years the euro is updated almost yearly. The EURO model also has 20 times the computing power.

Two hurricanes I will never forget...Hugo and Andrew. Thank goodness I didn't live Maria but feel bad for PR and other islands who got slammed. Put it this way...Florida Hurricane and Alligators, not a good combo.

I have seen Wilma go from Category 1 to 5 in just 24 hours in Western Carribbean. It is very very scary on how quickly it can strengthen in days when it has no shear, no dry air, upper ocean heat content is OFF the chart, plus Warm sea surface temperatures of 87-92 degrees, maybe even mid 90s. Hurricane Felix and Hurricane Dean in 2007 reached Category 5 and both of them were at Western Carribbean. The worst case scenario TD 9 is a Patricia like rapid intensification. I hope not. Wilma went from Category 1 to 5 in just 24 hours and pressure got as low as 882 mb. Wouldn't surprise me if Cuba gets slammed as a major hurricane, possibly higher than 3. We saw Delta in 2020 went from TD to Category 4 in just 36 hours. Wilma and Maria went from TD to Category 5 in just 54 hours. Not trying to hype this up. This is potentially a life threatening situation. When NHC on first forecast at 110, this is very alarming. NHC is usually conservative. I am not liking what I am seeing at all. The last time a Category 5 Hurricane occurred was back in 2019. Possible record pace of rapid intensification with ingredients are there wouldn't surprise me. GFS 06z run is very scary for Florida if it is correct because it would stall. It would be a catastrophic just like Dorian stalled in Bahamas as a Category 5 at 185 MPH. People need to tune in to Weather Channel, RU-vid, Local News station if they are in Florida. People should be prepared.
