In 1975 my parents took us to the Keys and Key west. They absolutely hated Key west, we drove around it and my father said there is nothing here, on the way out we stopped at a movie theater and saw the movie Jaws. I started going back to the Keys by 1995 and went many times in the 2000s. The keys are beautiful. I spent a lot of time snorkeling and eating in great restaurants, walking up and down Duval street. It's a great place. Everyone should go at least once. Thanks for your great video.
We just did the drive from Miami to Key West a few days ago. I've been eyeing this drive for over a decade and finally made it happen. Bahia Honda was amazing. This drive is something that I think every human in the world should experience. Thankfully I decided to bring my camera and tripod. I was able to capture some amazing photos. I can't wait to get back to the keys
Really? I saw video and it made me not want to waste my money visiting the keys. There's nothing there and water looks green everywhere. Unless u get on a boat. Puerto Rico beaches muchhhhhhhhh better. I'm disappointed but video was well done
@@luiscirilo8333 you haven't been to the keys? If you haven't in my opinion it's an experience that I recommend to people especially those who love islands. Of course Puerto Rico will have nicer beaches as it's further down in the Caribbean. I was in Grand Cayman a couple of months ago and it's beautiful there as well. The Caribbean will beat any US beaches for the most part unless you add Hawaii and the US territories (Puerto Rico and Guam). For the "mainland" US, the keys are a beautiful tropical getaway that I would encourage others to see and experience. I've never had a chance to visit Puerto Rico but would love to.
I live in Miami, and the Keys have been my backyard since I was 17 years old, I have never seen such beautiful places as your videos have shared. I believed I was knowledgeable about the Keys, but now I find that I am just a toddler at my Keys adventures compared to you Sir. Instant Sub! Your camera work is absolute perfection!
What a great asset you are to the RU-vid channel. These videos will be cherished forever amongst the planet earth lovers. Please keep sending us many more sensational videos like this one. I hope Google realises the importance of driving tours. drone tours and walking tours. These videos entice the traveler to discover new areas to explore. Especially when you take us through all the wonderful scenic roads. It gives us all a great opportunity to observe the authentic way of life and charming architecture. Thank you for addressing to us the name of each place throughout the trip. It really shows the amount of work and effort you have put into this video. So professional and helpful. Mill gracias!!!
Great video! I found so many places that we will have to check out the next time we head down to the Keys. Can't wait to see next week's video as well.
@@TampaAerialMedia what is the name of the guide book. and were can I order one? I am in wisc and need some keys therapy soon. glad i found your vides.
This video was so informative and I really appreciate the work you put into making it!! I’ve been racking my brain doing so much research into the keys trying to figure out the best places to stay, the best activities to do, where to eat etc. and your video has been the most helpful thus far🙌🏼
Florida is my absolute 'Happy Place', and I have spent more and more time there each year. I just got the best puppy, and your videos have been a great help in reassuring me that my Florida adventures are just beginning. I'm very interested in how you find and choose destinations with Bella in mind. Thanks for all your great info and beautiful views! Peace & Prayers out.
I'm 49 about to turn 50 and have been dreaming about spending winters in Florida for about 8 years now. Have lots of friends and family down there. Spent 2 months one winter down there and loved it. Looking forward to trying to live and work down there in the next year. What makes it your heavy place and where do you like to go?
@@livenfree I love the tropical vibes and I love warm weather. I'm a florist and Florida was named for it's beautiful flora. I went all the way to the Gulf of Mexico a year ago and can't wait to go again!
That was good !! as someone who spent a good part of my life in Key Largo and some in Tavernier, Marathon, and Big Pine, it is a good 30 minute watch. Loved the drone views over Largo Sound, you can definitely see the high ground on El Radabob Key and (about 6 feet) and where the former pineapple growing areas were to the west of that before the mangroves on the edge of Largo Sound. Before the railroad, Key Largo homesteaders lived as close to the Atlantic and Hawks channel as they could, mosquitoes and access to shipping of produce.
Fabulous guide to the keys. Very honest reporting. I've been to Key West, but looking forward to Islamorada and Key Largo. Thanks for pointing out reasonably priced places.
Great video! I definitely took notes on the many points of interest that I have not visited. My favorite place on the planet (The Keys). I look forward to next weeks Key West video. Happy Holidays!
I've made that trip from Miami down the OverSeas Highway probably about 45 times dating back to the section of road over the train trestle . Every step if the way to KW ,if seems like there's something each Key has a bit of identity that makes them unique , Bahia Honda , Big Pine (.the Key Deer ) But would take the flight BACK to Miami , just because I didn't want to get depressed because I was going back north to return to work !! So I go way back ..You should mention that it's nearly impossible to get lost since it's the ONLY road , there is no " alternative " route .And speed limits are strictly enforced , especially on Big Pine where the Key Deer reside . In NO WAY try to make up lost time and speed thru there !!! UNLESS you want to blow your entire Vacation budget in fines Speeding thru the Key Deer reserve could exceed a thousand dollars and don't even consider the potential fine if you strike one !!! It's the only place in the world these deer are known to exist . SLOW THE HECK Down ..That 1k fine could be better spent in many , many ways ..The one thing that is truly special is a slower moving laid back atmosphere , Not only will you delay your arrival at your destination , you'll slow down the the delivery system that supplies the residents , businesses that are in need of those supplies to accommodate their main source of revenue , tourism ..Keep your eye on the road , not your watch . What's your hurry !!! Enjoy every minute of this national historic roadway .Many folks might be making this drive for the first time , maybe the 100th time .Arrive Alive , Kick Back , Enjoy ...There will plenty of road ways delays , detours , traffic jams when you get back to commuting to work everyday .
If u have the chance I would you please call andnikita to make the order so we could go over and check for you if we are going on 5th or 3rd of August if ok
@@TampaAerialMedia You're Welcome! I really appreciate your efforts, First time, I see you in your video, I like it. Make a video about your life journey as a traveler or more. Enjoy!
great trip. we rented jet skis and went on like a 2 hour tour. Water was great. Strippers were smokin hot. Hotel was chill. Grassy Key was the shiznit. Conch Cafe is where you should eat.
2 days ago we watched your video, within 2 hours we booked our trip, and today we wake up in Key Largo!!! Thanks for the inspiration as we are enjoying our spontaneous trip!
@@TampaAerialMedia Thank you for taking time and doing this for all of us. I will say your videos on Englewood actually inspired me to move..I'm now moving to Rotondawest.
I love your video i just retired from the fire department my will 16 in june so we will be celebrating sweet 16 in the Keys again thanks for making this so easy. Please keep them coming.
Hotel, Motel,, Holiday inn, Say Whaaaatttt? and Bella doesn't dive on reefs! Just so you know we get all the little fast jokes you slip in. Watching from Fort Worth, Texas. Coming back to FL with our Jeep and waverunner for three trips in 2022. Your videos and recommendations DO help with trip planning. Merry Christmas!
@@TampaAerialMedia Hey, how about when are are there again in May or so you come meet us at Dunedin Causeway and take a spin on our waverunner. I even have extra pup life jackets.
Excellent upload, thanks for sharing this wonderful sights and sounds of beautiful and scenic Florida Keys..... it's a stunning part of the country to explore.
Thanks for the r review! Comprehensive, awesome scenery, and you make it seem as if we are actually there. Especially like your restaurant and lodging recommendations, and which are pet-friendly.
I can't wait to retire in the Keys. I just stayed 5 days over Thanksgiving weekend on Cudjoe Key with my wife and our boat. Fishing was epic. I visited the Keys in 2011 and knew I'd move there one day .
@@TampaAerialMedia why wait ?? Might not be there with all these climate changes !! Not being a narcissist . Just like so many folks waiting to retire and shit happens !!! Go , chill out , love it . Only 1 suggestion is to experience the summers . And everyday life on a " trial " basis . It can be harse in the Keys Like anywhere else . But sieze the day . And should you have an extra room , or need a fishing partner . I ll rent it from you !!! The Cudjoe , Summerland , Sugarloaf , Big Pine area is where Most of my friends resided ..Nice , quiet ( even during Spring Break !! Close to amenities , fishing spots . It's a wonderful spot . Good Health , Tight Lines , and enjoy
It brought back great memories! we have stayed in Islamorada and went to Theatre of the sea ,we have stayed in Key west a few times and Marathon. And spent time in the other keys. Quite a stress reliever from NYC!Thanks for the video!
GREAT JOB! THANK YOU 🙏🏼 visited the key’s about 30 years ago. They are as BEAUTIFUL if not more than when I was there. I CAN’T WAIT TO MOVE THERE SOME DAY.! Whoever reads this, please say a prayer for me. I LOVE THE KEYS!! 🙏🏼💛
Many, many thanks to Tampa Aerial Media for all the stellar vids! I have lived in Florida for the past ten years and I am learning so much about this state from the videos on this channel. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for all your videos, they are incredible. I used to live in Ft Myers 30 years ago, my family and I go to Key West often. We love the drive through the keys. We have never discovered all those “hidden” cool places that you have shown us. As a matter of fact we are heading to the keys again in July! I LOVE Texas, but Florida is my happy place as well. You are the coolest guy. Bella seems so well behave. Thanks again and Godspeed.
Great video! New subscribers here. We are RVing to Florida for June 2023, spending 10-14 days in the keys. We have booked a campsite at John Pennekamp and look forward to exploring the Keys. Thanks for sharing and giving great information! ~Kelli and Wilson
Thanks Kelli & Wilson, great to have you as subs. We are also doing a 3 video series on Hwy a1a, from Miami to Fernandina Bch, in February, so that series migh also give you ideas on your way down to the keys.
Another excellent video. I also appreciate that you included details about your camera gear. With my retirement approaching next month, I might buy a GoPro and try creating some video content in my spare time. My wife and I are also planning a trip to Florida. So we will definitely reference your videos before leaving.
I live on Bokeelia Island FL, but I owned a place for two years on Long Key at mile marker 66. Many of the places you showed I have been to. Great memories! thanks
Lombardi's in NYC is Americas first pizzeria. They began the lobster pizza craze. Burt for the most part we dont have many New York style pizzerias left in NYC. Lombardi's is still open but most are now closed! But thy say the secret to our pizza tasting so good is the water so NY pizza outside of NY is not the same but we don't have many New York pizzerias left in NYC.
Great video. I live in Miami and was just in Islamorada this past Saturday. This video just recently came up in my recommendations. Some nice bars/restaurants and places in this video I'd like to check out one day
Really, really LOVE your opening statement at the beginning of this video!!! It was so very beautiful & powerful that I had to type it out here in the comments section... "The ocean has a way of releasing the creativity of our minds. To break free of the fear, the negativity influences of society that can so easily weaken our energy. In the Islands, you learn to just let go. Enjoy the moment to truly live. It is here, I have found an oasis of freedom known as the Florida Keys."
Couldn't agree more !! But be considerate , just simply don't throw trash around , obey local and state laws , keep this a truly national treasure , don't be lazy., inconsiderate , selfish . Those are very simple qualities that should be applicable anyway , but like so many places that such delicate ecosystems that are essential for their very survival require a bit of common sense and respect in order for other folks to experience and pass on to future generations , possibly by photos , But that empty beer can , or plastic bag , a discarded lit cigarette can be seem to be " harmless ' but .
Wow!! Super fantastic video! Thank you so much! Never been to this area but I’ll be going to Key Largo in January so I look forward to visiting all these sights. Love seeing you and your pup! Great tips for pet parents.
Thanks for the video. I just came from there. Drove from Miami to key largo and Islamorada late evening. Stop by the seafood restaurant in Whale Harbor Islamorada. The waiters were rude told us to wait for next available table and he despair. Another waiter came and gave a available table to customer were behind us. So we told that we’ve been waiting and this time this waiter told us if we can sit outside because there’s empty table so we went and he handed us the menu and gone. After 1/2 an hour waiting we got up and left the place.
Thanks for sharing Farhana, yea sorry you had that experience. I sympathize with the jobs of the waiters and waitresses but no need for them to be rude like that.
I really enjoyed this -as a Wyoming girl I was fortunate to live in Key Largo 1976-1986 and worked at Theater of the Sea & both Glass bottom boats, it sure has grown since-but it's on my bucket list to visit again! Thank-you
Great job!! I love your sweet dog!! Shes a lucky girl to go see all these beautiful places!! I appreciate the info on who's dog friendly on these trips so I know whether I want to go or not. Take care you guys!❤❤❤
This may sound odd but, you have a very soothing voice and dont talk to much... so many people that do videos might love the sound of their own voice not realizing how anoying the sound cackling like an idiot. I scream ' SHUT UP" at the TV alot. Very professional and it shows.
I get lost in your videos. The narration is soothing and each video is somehow comforting as a whole to watch. I’ll be in FL in Feb and will definitely be doing a day trip to key west ! Thank you for this !
