I had no idea that bugs could eat through those bag. I’ll have to see if my local nurseries carry the Florida King Peach 🍑 Thanks for the feature/update. Happy gardening 🌱 Keep plowing
I really don't use any fertilizer anymore. I've tried many different things in the past mostly organic like coffee grounds. Clover, buckwheat. ECT. But my pH o haven't checked in a few years. When I first checked it was 8.4 the next year it was 8,2 and last I checked it was 7.8. but that was 3 years ago.
This last year I used composted wood and leaves. But I try to use organic opinions, anything that'll help build my soil, before that I tried clover and buckwheat.
Cool. But no info on actual care of trees. When do you fertilizer? Purning? Do you use any insecticide? I'm much interested in the actual care of trees.
I fertilized when they were younger but haven't really given them anything over the past 2 years, I've made sure to keep them mulched and that has broken down and changed the soil texture alittle bit. I prune in the winter mostly to collect scions, or just randomly if it gets into the walk way. And no insecticide or any sprays. I'll cover the fruits as they get size with organza bags to try to slow down or detour any pest.
Thank you! And production is definitely high in my book. If I was ever to move I would know what trees I wanted. It's hard to find information on production.
The first few years I had them, they were pretty inconsistent as far as fruit goes because of late frosts. In the past few years they've been very consistent. I think producing 4 out of the last 5 years before that I think had one out of 3 years
