Florida QB Kyle Trask
6’5 239 lbs
Former Florida QB Feleipe Franks was expected to return the Gators to where they once were with Tim Tebow at QB & Urban Meyer at Head Coach, but that didn’t go as planned. Franks was one of the top rated QB recruits, who showed some of that potential the last 3 seasons, but got injured last season. Some Florida fans thought their season was over, but former 3-Star QB Kyle Trask stepped in & never looked back. Trask was not expected to play much, but ended up having a better season than Franks ever had. With Franks off to Arkansas, Trask has secured his starting job & is viewed as the best QB in the SEC.

With Feleipe Franks at QB, Kyle Trask was not expected to play much outside of late game situations. After Franks got hurt, Trask stepped in & never looked back. He threw for 2,917 yards & 25 TDs with 7 INTs despite not even playing an entire season. Did you know Felipe franks changed college football forever? He was gonna go to LSU and if he would’ve went there burrow wouldn’t have transferred.

@Gabriel Franco That can be said about a lot of things. What if Dwayne Haskins doesn't flip from Maryland to Ohio State? Joe Burrow stays at Ohio State. What if Cam Newton wasn't arrested for stealing a laptop when he was at Florida? Auburn wouldn't have had that magical 2011 season. Who did Auburn beat in the Natty? The Oregon Ducks. If Johnny Manziel didn't decommit from Oregon, Marcus Mariota probably doesn't commit to Oregon that same recruiting class. With that said, I don't see Franks' decision as impactful as moves other players have made in the past. If Franks put up the same kind of numbers he put up in 2017 at LSU then Burrow probably still transfers. Franks didn't show enough to solidify his position as starter.

Elijah Mitchell it’s not even just about the stats. If you watch his actual tape, he he a nice base and a good release that will translate to the next level. I think he needs polishing, but he’s has a lot of positive traits you look for in a franchise QB

Arm strength he cant throw it like 60 yds and nfl loves a big arm but if willing to look passed that. For his first time playing since 9th grade. He was super impressive at everything else. Going thru his reads and getting it out fast. Knowing when to audible to better plays, and he got A LOT better knowing where the pressure is coming, how to step around it And he drops dimes no doubt. Hell he lost 42-28 at LSU where if not for goal line pick to make it 35 Our D didnt have the depth to play 4 qts with an offense like that so Trask had to shoot it out and did damn good imo 300+ 3 td 1 int 21/30 257 2 TD 0 int vs UGA too in a 24-17 loss Impressive af imo

He's really accurate with throws against tight end zone coverage. He's not fast or mobile but he's not a statue by any means.At least a 2 yr. starter. I like him better than the kid from BYU.

The issue with that is the availability of quality broadcast games. Most D2, D3, JUCO, etc. level football games aren't televised. Some are streamed on their site, but either the quality is bad or being able to download the plays from it isn't possible. I've done a few FCS players & I enjoy shining light on players who play at lower levels, but the process is very long. For example, the Jah-Maine Martin video I made recently took longer to get the clips than to actually make the video. On average, it took me about 3-4 hours to get each clip included. So if there was about 15-16 plays, you can imagine how long that took. That might be a reason why not many others make videos of players from non-Power 5 teams.

Not obvious, but it almost looks like he's got pocket presence. Keeps his eyes down field until the last second. That's a winning NFL trait. I hate he's on filthy Florida, but he warrants watching.

He looks decent. I'm not sure if he Is a day 1 starter in the nfl but... You can't teach size. Some of his throws look sketchy. But him behind an older qb like the Matt ryan. Could be a good fit for him Lots of potential. The ceiling is high

Nah. He’s not mobile and has limited arm strength, cutting threw the Chicago wind and cold with a team that’s like to throw deep would be a bad fit. He would be a perfect fit for the falcons who are built for a statue QB, they also run the ball well, which suits teams, and don’t throw deep often, he’d be perfect there, also I expect Matt Ryan to be gone soon since his GM and coach are gone, I see the bears finally getting their franchise QB by trading for Matt Stafford who once Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn are fired will become available under the new lions regime, and with his arm strength and better mobility than Foles would be a perfect fit for the Nagy-Deep passing oriented offense.

Kyle Trask looks good, but, in my opinion, he does not stand out like Trevor Lawrence does. Also. I don't think that he is as athletic as Justin Fields is. He is good, but, not great from what I have seen of him so far. He should be a high draft pick if he goes pro, but, Lawrence is the better prospect. Could be a number one pick if Lawrence stays in school, but, will face stiff competition from Fields.

Doesn’t matter, he just isn’t generating velocity with his humongous body, and once he does there will be way more velocity on the ball, he’s just using his upper body to create velocity instead of using his whole body as a whip, his core, hips, etc, which all franchise QB’s use, it’s how Brady creates suitable velocity despite having below average arm strength.

Throws with only his arm. Doesnt square his shoulders. Doesn’t set his feet. Barely transfers his weight while throwing. That’s why a lot of these TDS are almost over throws. 7thRD-UNDRFT. He’s a project QB.

Michael you and Quinton Lee need to get a room. You two are constantly shitting on a guy that has stuck with UF no matter what and has produced at an elite level when called on. Nobody was going to beat LSU last year and both Zuniga and Greenard was out. Trask threw for over 300yds and was in the game into the third quarter before the D just wore down. UGA was the worst game UF played all year and only lost by 7. Emory is going to be a beast but you can’t go 11-2 and say you need a QB change. That’s just ignorant and Mullen knows best. Lamar Jackson’s are a once in a generation type talent.
