Season One, Episode Five
The bracket and engine are bolted onto the 23 Seacraft, after some time-robbing challenges, making way for FS Boating Editor Dave East to join owner, Taylor Mason, in putting its fishing capability to the test out of Ocean Reef, FL; also, the 25 Hydra-Sports build is in full swing, with the engine and trim tabs being mounted and installed.

Very nicely done, the bracket on the back makes all the difference in the world, i rebuilt my old 23’ Sea Ox from top to bottom with a new bracket on the back with a 250 four stroke yamaha ,the boat rides amazing . I need some help with the center console face plates

1" for every 6-9" back vs 1- 10 1 in 10 is HIGHLY conservative if not LOW in a mid weight hull

I have an older seacraft 23' with a small v8 and if I'm careful I can get 2 miles to the gallon they must have fished awful close to home i'm on the west coast and a full day I burn about 80 gallons and as much as 140 if im trolling all day

It depends on a lot though like weather, overall weight, weight distribution, and the engine’s wellbeing and age. I have a 15 foot boat, she weighs about 2,200-2,300 pounds, 1970s Evinrude 70HP 2-stroke, I can run her most of the day at 1/3 throttle (about 32 mph) and I only burn about 2-4 gallons when running in 1.5-3 foot chop between fishing spots and the dock. I can fish for a week on her 18 gallon tank.

DaebakMonkey I don’t mean to be disrespectful but there’s no way your running 32mph with 1/3 throttle on a 70hp. I have a 17 foot boat with a newer 90 hp and at 1/3 I’m around 10-12 mph. There’s no way your running 32 at 1/3 throttle. I’d be surprised if that wasn’t close to your max speed with that motor and boat size.

All the videos I see are all about installing Armstrong brackets, and Bennett trim tabs. I understand sponsorship, but making dang near the whole show about it makes is boring quick.
