Only 2 in the top 20 and they barely ranked higher than the third Pac-12 team who was Utah that suffered two blowouts due to their injuries. Hate to break it to ya, the Pac-12 played defense. The way I understand it, it’s the 5 highest ranked conference champions. For example, if 2 g5 teams like Boise State, Liberty, or Tulane go undefeated in separate conferences while fsu wins the acc with 3 losses, they might both be higher ranked then fsu, causing fsu to miss the playoffs. It would be extremely improbable, but would be something insane nonetheless.

This was the correct take when you made your post and I agreed with it. After the BC game though it looks like FSU has some serious issues. Starting 0-2 with two conference loses is brutal for a team that was expected to be so good.

Dude took over a 10-2 Oregon State team, then threw 57% for the season and they ended up 8-5. Idk how that’s “doing really well” lmaoooo

@@tl5606 that conference was stacked last year, did you see their margin of loss on those losses? They were close games that OSU was in til the end. He didn’t have elite receivers, and he made them a dangerous team. They could’ve easily finished 10-2 again but the competition was elite week in and week out, and their defense wasn’t nearly as stout at 2022. I’m not a huge DJ U fan, but the loss in Ireland wasn’t on him. Three drops that should’ve been receptions dropped him from above 75% to 70%, not “horrible” at all! The defense needed a stop, he doesn’t play defense. The D line lost that game.
