If administration do decide to fire MN in a year or two, the next coach better come from a big time team that understands what it takes to get big time recruits.
@@jcorner17 I say go after Jon Gruden, a great former NFL head coach and Super Bowl champion. He will get some great assistant coaches and recruit players wanting to get to the League.
@@LO_Seminoles you are one the few that covers this team that actually calls it like it is , you state facts you hold folks accountable and a lot of the FSU media won’t I know it’s there job and they don’t wanna piss off the staff but they getting paid to coach ball and there failing at every aspect if you ask me !
They'll never be elite without elite recruiting. That's the issue, and probably why they need to move on to a different coach. MN has been there long enough to establish recruiting - he's jut not getting enough elite high school talent. Too much reliance on the portal. FSU is a big brand right in the center of very fertile recruiting grounds. They should be signing top 10 classes every year at the absolute minimum. Whether it's this year or next year, they're going to have to fire MN and get a coach who can recruit. At this point, you have a broken record for a coach. Time to move on.
@Iraqvet Every fan base that is used to success is like that. I live near a bunch of Gator, hurricane, and Alabama fans, and I hear the same talk from them.
Right now… as an alumni from 93-95… it sure looks like a total coaching meltdown. From recruiting, game prep, play calling, accountability etc. we have just literally cratered. I believe we have some speed and talent on the team - some where. But it’s so erratic. It’s been painful to watch
As someone who found FSU's early season collapse funny I can confirm ... I jist feel bad now. It's just awkward to watch the continued collapse. The defense played fine ... though Duke really just shut down their offense and played conservative after the first quarter.
So for all the people bashing Brock, i get it but when you hit recievers in the hands and they still cant catch, you probably second guess who to throw too. With our recieving corp, the only completions we can make are to the other team
I’m in my mid 60’s and this is by far the worst coaching staff we have ever had and I’m even including Mudra and Taggart staffs. Most of the players are awful too, especially the linebackers and receivers. Receivers are pure trash, and everyone of them need to be kicked off the team. Surely they can find some receivers who can catch a damn football.
Bowden created a powerhouse, 2 coaches destroyed the program and one of my childhood memories. Mike will not be able to fix this team with the staff he has. Ever week is the same issues.
You cant blame WT for none of this. Oh no my friend. JIMBO brought down FSU, MN has brought down FSU. WT was fired after 20 games and that wasn't enough timw for him to do anything but go close to 500...and a bowl game! WT never lost to Duke, never went 1-6 and never lost to an FCS at home in his SECOND YEAR! Now this white guy is so bad you want WT to share in his incompetency? NOPE!!! Own all of this!!!! Yall ran WT out of town for BS, now stand with your ORGANIZED WHITE COACH!😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 FBA/B1
@ChristopherP5 Removing my comments doesn't erase the truth. Jimbo scuttled the program. MN scuttled the program. WT wasnt here long enough due to the racism displayed by the administration and the fans to make an impact one way or another. He was fired after 20 games. And during those 20 games, he didnt lose to Duke or Jacksonville State and nor did he ever go 1-6! He did have decrnt recruiting classes and gave FSU Jordan Travis. Don't you racists put any of the blame on him because he wasnt here long enough to do anything thanks to you! Now you stand right by your chosen white coach and his 1-6 record because this is who you chose RIGHT???? 😆 Dummies!!! FBA/B1
you don't think Mike is one of the coaches that helped destroy this program? you don't think part of the problem is being under .500 in 3 of the 5 yrs at Florida State is an issue?
The play calling wasn't atrocious, it was the execution by the players that was atrocious. Wide receivers constantly dropping the ball, the starting quarterback throwing multiple interceptions and then fumbling. Defense played the hearts out in the offense basically failed to do what they were expected to do. Execution means everything. A coach can call the perfect game or a game that his team could win, and it means nothing if the players don't execute it. And that's what we had on Friday night.
Worst display of FSU football in the history of the school I believe. Nobody developing the qbs receivers can't can't.. Omg please forfeit the rest of the season smdh!
How does Mike Norvell make more money than Miami's Mario Cristobal? They started their tenure at the same time and look at the difference between the two programs now. What the heck happened? Two years ago we crushed them in their own stadium. I don't even want to watch this weekend.
I mean, Norvell is not the one botching easy catches week after week after week. Only one aspect, but there have been so many missed points bc of that. Momentum is never on our side.
Not a big FSU fan , except when they play Miami. I said it 3 years ago that the Noles were the worst coached team I ever saw. I had to eat some crow last year now I realize that Travis made up for all of Norvell incompetence. I'm back to they are the worst coached team I've ever seen.
If I was Norvell I would have told my O-line if Luke gets sacked, that player on the bench. And then play every offensive line player until you find 5 players who can pass block. I don’t care if the hold, drag them to the ground, or sit on them as long as they don’t get to the QB.
I feel that CMN should be allowed a couple of years to see if he is capable of revamping his Staff and fixing this awful Football Program. If he proves incapable, I hope that he has the integrity to resign and forfeit a HUGE amount of the $$$ that he is failing to earn.
People need to stop saying the defense is fine. People look at the total yardage and say that. However, they didn’t get any sacks, turnovers, and only had 6 TFLs; let me say that again: 6 TFLs against what FSU media says is a bad offense. This defense is pedestrian at best. Fire the entire staff, DL have no moves or counter moves, LB’s can’t read or react, and the DB’s never make a play on the ball and overall they all can’t tackle well nor do they swarm to the ball. The defense overall is predictable and mediocre at best. Maybe I need to get my eyes checked or watch a new TV.
@jcorner17 chill out man. I said it was fine (average) not good. If you could improve starters you'd replace 3 or four offensive players before you touched the defense.
@@jcorner17That quarterback Murphy knows how to get the ball out fast, and he's pretty experienced and most likely was told not to take chances. Duke had 7 three and outs. Imagine if FSU had a good offense that scored and threatened to score... These opponents would have to take chances, throw the ball down field vertically, etc. All these opponents have to do is dink and dunk, keep geting these little three yarders and waste time off the clock and keep the score close. And this running clock is helping these mediocre teams out too. This is the worst offense in the country. Guys can't block and can't catch. If you can't block and can't catch, you can't have an offense. No run game. No playmakers. Can't block, can't catch, can't run. Worst offense in school history. Definitely not the worst defense in school history.
@jcorner17 - Duke's play calling was "NOT TO LOSE" and that's why FSU didn't get any big defensive plays. After being up 17-3, the Blue Devils didn't need to take any chances. The FSU offense essentially screwed up any chance for the defense.
RS FR quarterbacks rarely do. It generally takes 400 passing attempts, at minimum, for a college quarterback to start to understand in-game decision-making. It's a long process.
Dammm Norvell fire all coaches I'm sick of this every play call is the same jimbo had a top 5 class for 3 yrs norvell has been here 5 and never had a top 15class
Mike Norvell has a Memphis approach to recruiting. When you never coached on a big time team that made recruiting a premium, then you will not know what that looks like. After the GA loss that should have opened his eyes up and say that is what I need. Instead he said lets stand 10 toes down on what we have done. Instead he should have pivoted and let some coaches go and go out and hire some dogs on the recruiting trail that will bring in some dogs. 5 years of mediocre recruiting and its showing.
the positive came out of the game is we found our quarterback Luke kromenhoek i like his statue his pose he has a big arm and appears to be accurate and freshmen so he will be around for awhile they need to keep playing him so he will be ready next season the kid behind him is from Florida. just focus on the offensive line I think next season this season is gone.
