The No.17 Fighting Irish got a huge team victory at home over the No.5 Hokies, 71-58. Hannah Hidalgo was the star of the night as she set the ACC record for points for a freshman finishing with 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Sonia Citron chipped in with 21 points and 5 rebounds for ND. Georgia Amoore and Elizabeth Kitley combined for 32 points on 12 of 36 shooting for Virginia Tech.
