Should of had one more run! If you are on 2 nd base and the ball is hit in the infield on the third base side, you have no business trying to advance to third! Dumb base running for sure.
Hard to watch the two horrid mistakes Huskies #2 made. First, Not running on the hit from first, being unsure of what to do, she stops and steps back towards first then has to run and slide to make 2nd. Why? if the infielder caught the ball she would be force at second. By not running she ruined her possible chances to reach scoring position at 3rd but worse, running off 2nd on a line drive not making sure the ball got thru the infield first. ROOKIE MISTRAKE But coach Tarr owns some of this too. You never pinch run someone who clearly doesn't know what she is doing, especially at this level! These are lessons leaned in 12 U, 14 U 16U & 18U. NOT DIV 1
