We went back to the Florida Strawberry Festival and tried our luck on some of the carnival games. We had our fair share of winning, and some losing. :P Who will win the biggest prize?

The winning of the fish is utterly sad. Spending their short lives in cramped containers... How can anyone think goldfish make good pets just to give away is beyond me. Goldfish need really BIG tanks to be happy and be in a group as well.

those live fish ones are awful :( most of the fishies end up dying of shock from being carried around (luckily this stand will watch it for you but still)+water changing temperatures. They`re only supposed to be in a bag for up to about 30 minutes max.

+Adriana D We had a carnival that we went to when we were kids that had vouchers for the local pet store. So how ever many vouchers you had you got that many fish. Was a lot easier then hauling a fish home that day.

Please don't ever play those fish games! It is wrong that they are giving away live animals! They are living creatures and deserve respect, not to just be given to a careless 6 year old. Goldfish require a 20+ gallon tank and a lot of filtration. These booths give them away in tiny bowls which are not at all suitable. So please again don't ever give these booths money, because all they do it cause suffering to adorable fish !

I've had one for 10 years!! Although THEY did die they sill lived a very long time!! I had 7 in a 12 gallon tank!! We definitely cared for them a lot!!

I agree they don't seem to do anything with the live fish in the UK anymore.The way they are stuffed into those bins it can't be ideal conditions for the fish.How long did any of them last when they were won I bet they died quite quickly.

We won two goldfish from the Strawberry Festival in 2012 and believe it or not the last one lived all the way up until around this past Christmas time! This is always one of our favorite games to play when we go!

I've never seen them in real life, just in videos like these. Just thinking about the heat, the stress, and the ROUGH handling they get is enough to convince me to never play anything that offers real fish. Not to mention, most of the winners probably don't have a tank with filters/heaters and fish food.

I went to Strawberry festival this year, too. The trick to the fish bowl game is that you have to put a decent arc on it and have it come straight down into a bowl.

That first game i was like no way.. Then Angel won! The bottle game you need to get the ring all the way down the neck to stand any chance of getting the bottle to stand up and not fall over straight away. Fun video!

In some countries I have been too, there is this tiny fish game. Where, the tiny fish are in a a long container, and then, normally you catch a fish with a net right? They replace the net with tissue. And you catch your own. It's really hard because the tissue rips, but sometimes you can be really lucky and get 5-6. :)
