Florida Vlog Sept 2019 | Travel Day | BA Premium Economy & Check-in at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
IT'S TRAVEL DAY!!! Today I fly Premium Economy with my sister from London Gatwick to Orlando (MCO) with British Airways. We check-in at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and get surprised with a savannah view room! After a room tour we make our way to Disney's Animal Kingdom and head to Satuli Canteen which is our favourite quick service restaurant on property! We also had a fastpass for Navi River Journey in Pandora, this ride is so beautiful! I hope you enjoy this vlog and the rest of this series!

Travel day allways makes a great vlog its such an exciting day, and i sure did enjoy yours we too flew out with BA from gatwick and stayed at the the same hotel( hilton) overnight on the 29th sept 2019 , your so brave hiring a car and driving in florida , so many cars in your car park glad you found yours looking forward to seeing more of your series ,from your new friends and subscribers 🤝🤝stay safe💜💜

Hey! I travel to Orlando every year and always suffer so bad with my ears normally on the way down and then I can’t hear for a good few days, I’ve now managed to control it with quite an extensive few steps 😂 I take a decongestant tablet about half hour before take off, then I put the little yellow ear buds in before take off and I leave them in the entire flight, then I chew gum/sweets when we take off. I wear headphones for the entire flight, the headphones that go over your head and cover the whole ear, then I take a decongestant again before landing around half hour before and make sure I’m chewing gum/sweets for landing and since doing that my ears haven’t popped at all (touch wood) but just a few tips that may help you out in future. Loved the vlog! Xxx

Aw thank you so much for the tips... I'm in the same boat I've suffered for years and then eventually found my magical routine that worked for me. I do take the decongestant, I don't use ear buds as I prefer to be able to feel how blocked my ears are so I can try to clear them and I definitely chew like you do too! It's so funny how different things work for people. So my method normally works but this time I had a sinus infection develop shortly before my trip and I'd actually been in Ireland so when I flew home my ears were SO BAD and they hadn't fully cleared by the time I took this flight. Luckily it was just one ear that was bad on this flight... It's mad because nobody understands the pain we go through when it happens unless they've experienced it!

Love a good pre travel & travel day vlog. We usually get dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant and then a walk around the resort. We have our daughter with us. Perhaps next time we might go to Disney Springs for dinner. One year we stayed at Contemporary and walked HEA from our balcony

I can't recommend it enough, it's great value on DVC points if you chose to rent but it's also not too bad on the UK package, it's often the cheapest deluxe

We will be arriving this week staying at Beach Club Villas for 2 nights then Art of Animation for 3 nights. Yes! I'm so excited to watch your vlogs! I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. :( I've had to fly while congested and my ears had terrible pain. AKL is amazing. It was the first WDW resort I stayed at so it holds a special place in my heart.

I love that vlog made you more excited! That's the reason I love watching vlogs in the build up to a trip! Ooh that's a tough decision, Polynesian was amazing and the location is great, it usually runs a LOT more expensive than AKL though. Beach club looks great but never stayed there!

@@KarenBee What dates? We’ll be flying from Gatwick Airport on Monday 2/5/22 and flying back to Heathrow Airport on Monday 16/5/22. It will be our first time flying with BA but 5th time staying at Jambo House. Were you able to book plane seats in advanced? My booking says I can only book seats 24 hours in advance.

Your room at AKL looked amazing! 😍 Can't wait to watch the rest of your series. For me on travel day I eat and go to bed 😂 Normally we get into MCO anywhere between 6pm - 8pm and after living the same day two times I'm officially dead by the time I see my bed.

The room at AKL was awesome! That hotel is just amazing we love it! Oh I bet after all that travelling you must be exhausted! Does it take you a few days to adjust to the time zone? We were ok on this trip because we were getting up so early for EMH it was like getting up a regular time in our time zone lol

@@KarenBee I will stay at AKL one day, I need to! Believe it or not it doesn't. I definitely get more jetlag when I'm home. I always try and take the flight that lands into LAX at 6/7am and then the midday flight to Orlando so I arrive around 6pmish, I try not to sleep this entire flight so I can actually fall asleep at a normal Orlando time. This means I'm usually in bed by 9/10pm and then I try plan nothing for early morning the next day so I can sleep in if I need. I have a system now and it works 😂

Yes you will! That sounds like a decent system, my jet lag is always worse when I get home but I think part of that is not having Disney parks to keep me going Haha!

Hi Noel! That's lovely to hear thank you! Yes so I can do all of my editing on my laptop, I used to use iMovie which came with my Mac (movie maker is a windows software that is similar) but now I use final cut pro. Either can be used without wifi so easy to edit on the plane!

Hey! Your videos popped up on my recommended and needed a bit of Disney travel day magic....just a couple of questions if you get chance to answer...first off are you guys siblings? And when you drove from MCO which route did you go? did you go via the toll roads or not? I drove back to MCO last Sept and the Nav took us a really long way and there were no tolls, but when we got the magical express from MCO it seemed a much shorter journey 😂 also ironically me and my boyfriend flew out the 12th Sept last year and we also stayed at the Hilton Gatwick, however the fire alarm went off whilst we were sleeping and we all had to evacuate I was so out of it I had no idea what was going on 😂 so you missed that by one day lol..we never found out the reason for the alarm! Anyway I’m going to continue to watch your series! ☺️

Hey Laura! Aw I'm glad you found me! Yes we are sisters! So we take the 417 and it does have a toll but we always book with Avis or Alamo so we have the tag reader on the care, pretty sure that's the same route the express takes. I imagine you took the 528 to I4, you end up going past the Florida Mall, google maps tells you it takes around the same time but it has always taken us longer! It's worth the small price for the toll in our view! Oh no way what a coincidence, glad we were a night later! Just subbed to you channel, a new Disney series for me to watch too! x

Awww this vlog made my day. I'm in so much pain and had a really bad day but seeing you 2 SO happy, it's contagious haha :p I am looking forward to our little trip in April SO SO much now, because I'm gonna be exactly like you, being crazy happy and superduper excited. I can't wait. We've got Ohana Breakfast booked already and in about 113 days it is FASTPASS DAAAYYYYYYY eeeeekkkkkk :-) I do feel a bit sad that we are arriving pretty late, if all goes to schedule, we land at 7.30 pm, so...travel day will be nothing but travel and check in day sadly...BUT I hope it's not going to be busy at immigration! Fingers crossed. Oh and yay, there were no kids next to you :) Hope that couple behaved itself haha :p

@@amritbanga2392 of course! I personally prefer AKL as I just love the lobby! We have stayed in Kidani and we did like it there too, if you're staying in a one bedroom Kidani has an extra bathroom so would recommend choose there but for a studio I prefer AKL.

Aw thank you! I basically just ordered it to the hotel and included my name and reservation number on the delivery details... have done it a few times! I just make sure it gets delivered around the time I arrive or just before..

Great video! What date did you guys go in September? Looking at dates next year to avoid the crowds. Would you recommend early or mid September?

Thanks Adam! We arrived on the 13th September, around the first weekend in September is Labour Day Weekend so might be best to go after that but other than that September is quiet so anytime is good. We did have a bit of a knock on effect from the hurricane this year (so people had pushed their early September trips back to mid-September) and the week after we left was actually quieter. Unfortunately overall Disney is just getting busier and busier but September is still a lower crowd month.

With the exchange rate the full price headphones are about the same in the US as was we get at duty free. However *spoiler alert* Rachel does find a pair of headphones (as opposed to the in ear ones she got) in America at a great price! Thanks so much for watching!

So I like them because they stay charged for a long time and they don't budge off my ears (I wear them running).. the sounds is pretty crisp too but they are a little pricey..
