The population of Indiana is almost the same as the Dallas or DFW, wow !We left Dallas because it was too crowded and way too hot. We are in Clarksville Indiana right now because my husband's family is nearby. I am wanting a small town with less crowds with normal shopping areas. Our rent in Irving/ Dallas was $1150 for a 2 bedroom {2020} but it went up to $1550 at the end of 2023 that is why we came back to Indiana. I like the colder weather but I am from Washington state where it is freezing all the time. I have had a hard time with the lack of sunshine this year. when we lived in Dallas the overnight lows were 77 to 82 degrees . we had to run our ac over night. My husband and I enjoy morning and evening walks in the summer months that are possible living in Indiana. we couldn't walk in Dallas because of the heat and high humidity.
Clearly I forgot the word “contiguous” when I said that. And if we want to be technical, a "sunshine tax" is clearly not a real thing that people are taxed for. 😉
As a person who grew up in and spent the 1st 21 years of my life in Indiana and the last 35 years here in Florida, I've got one thing to say. Do NOT move to Florida!!! It positively S.U.C.K.S. and I would give ANYTHING to be able to move back. I would in a heartbeat!!!
@geesamanhomes your want it alphabetical or chronological?? EVERYTHING about Florida is WAY worse except the no state sales tax. WAY too many ppl, roads are ALWAYS under construction, ppl drive like idiots, rents and mortgages are out of control and we won't even get into the weather aspect of it.
