A little late to commenting but this inspired me so much to upgrade my own floral kit! I'm a freelancing florist so it's very crucial I supply myself of everything I may need for all orders and events. In my go to floral kit, I always carry two kinds of cutting shears, (one with a stronger blade than the other in case I'm out and forage anything in the wild), regular scissors, corsage and boutonniere pins, extra packets of floral food in case a client is needing anything last minute (and they're super accessible being a packet) I also carry 3 kinds of floral wire, ribbon and twine, and then as you mentioned a snack or coffee! Very inspiring and helpful from one florist to another. ✨

hey there!! I would just get out and do it! It’s the slow season for a lot of floral shops but go around durring the holiday season and apply to shops! Watch lots of RU-vid videos teaching floral design. I have a “flower power” playlist which should help answer some of your florist questions along with teaching you how to arrange! And just remember that practice makes perfect! There’s no right and wrong way to design flowers it’s all about your interpretation and that’s the beauty of art! I do still stand by the tools I mentioned in this video, I will come out with an updated video but I still recommend the tools mentioned in this video
