The bead issue is real. While working on The Peacock Tapestry I learned to save the beads and gold filament for last. After beading the entire border then going back and taking a few years longer than expected to finish the peacock, my beads and gold had tarnished and I had to redo all the beads and gold. The beads still moved around on me too. Wish I had watched a few more flosstube tutorials on how to secure them better before I had it framed.
Thank you for sharing your tips, I am nearly finished the Storyteller and have been tempted to start the mermaid but as she is an older pattern the floss list is nightmare so I really appreciate the tip of going to the TW designs website and the TW facebook page for the dragon freebies.
I stitched the Mermaid, she does have tons of colors but is soo worth it. She has a lot of chart errors if you’re going from the copy in the collection book, but the TWFB group can help if you have any issues.
