Just found your channel, and do enjoyed your first video and all of your beautiful projects! Looking forward to catching up on the rest of your videos to bring me to the present. Happy stitching!🙂
Great to meet you Sarah, I have just found you on floss tube so I'm going back to the beginning of your journey so as to follow you from the start!!! Your stitching is beautiful I'm just beginning my journey and you are inspiring me! 😍
Hello, stumbled onto your flosstube. I, too; am a transplant to New Hampshire. I am a retired advanced practice nurse. I have bee doing cross stitch for quite a few years, to decompress after a particularly busy time. Picked it up with a fervor during Covid. Glad to see there is someone else in New Hampshire. Have you watched Helen D and Two needles pulling thread both in Maine? Wish we had some Local needle shops nearby.
I need to check out Helen D. I have heard good things! I'm so glad there are New Hampshire friends nearby! I think I'm going to check out the cross stitch store in Salem. I'll let everyone know what it's like!
I really enjoyed your first video . You do lovely work and oh that Forever and Ever garden series FFO is stunning. I will be looking for your second video .
Your FFO’s are GORGEOUS!! Looks like you have been stitching for more than a year. Totally enjoyed your 1st Flosstube video and am looking forward to many more.
Welcome to Flosstube! I'm also an NP. I'm a Nocturnist Hospitalist and do a lot of my stitching on nights that are quiet at work. I grew up in Vermont, so welcome to the Northeast! Looking forward to more videos!
That’s fantastic! I actually work as a hospitalist as well! Night time is a great time to get some stitches in! I start some evening shifts up and coming so I plan to do the same!
Welcome to New England. I live in Rhode Island and have been doing cross stitch for over 30s . Yes I’m old. Your doing a great job and good luck in your videos.
Hi Sarah! Randomly found your video tonight and very glad that I did. Your aunt taught you well; you have some beautiful pieces. I, too, am a huge Mira fan. Looking forward to seeing all of your work as you continue stitching in future videos. Thanks for sharing your craft with us! Steph
Love your video! And I give you credit for already stitching on Lugana or linen and you’ve only been stitching for a year! That’s awesome! I do love linen myself but ATM I’m stitching a Fat Quarter Shop SAL on 16 count Aida! My daughter is an RN and I recently told her she should go back to school to be a nurse practitioner. Can’t wait to see what else you work on! And I’ll be watching out for your next video! Happy stitching!
I will tell her what you said! And we do appreciate you as well! But I am stitching the FQS Boo Crew SAL. 2 parts have come out so far! And the best part is that it’s free! ☺️ 2 other SAL’s that I am doing as well are Caterpillar Cross stitch Touch Of Magic and Frosted Pumpkin Under the Sea!
For being a fairly new stitcher, you really do beautiful work. I’m thinking you will be bringing a tear to your Moms eye when she sees that gorgeous work of art. The framing may be expensive but oh so worth it. It showcases that piece beautifully! It was fun getting to learn about you and I will be back for sure. I want to sew you fill the antique bowl with pillows!
Hi. I loved your flosstube. I am an RN and have also recently filmed my first flosstube and within a year have accumulated a lot of cross stich patterns, threads and notions. Glad I am not the only one lol. I would love a pattern parade.
Hi Sarah. Long time stitcher here (early 1980’s) and fellow New Englander. Great job with your first Flosstube and welcome to the glorious world of cross stitching. Your enthusiasm is joyful. Looking forward to learning more of your stitching journey.
Welcome to Flosstube. Great first video. Welcome to New Hampshire as well. We are stitchy neighbors. Not sure if you know but depending on where in NH you are there is a.local needlework shop called The World In Stitches located in Littleton, MA. Check it out if you are in the southern part. Also, there is a retreat in NH in November. Happy stitching 🧡🧡
Whaaaat!! I didn't know about the shop! Time for a weekend road trip! We are in the middle of the state on the boarder with VT. Where is the retreat!!! Will you be attending??
@@ladyluganasarahvanwey3499 yes I am attending. The retreat is at East Hill Farm in Troy, NH. I know there is a wait list but it never hurts to get on it if you can attend. It is rather small comparatively with a limit of 80. But it is in the 'neighborhood' and worth a shot if you're able to. Lots of local stitchers. There is also another needlework shop but much further south in North Attleboro, MA called Stitch New England. She has a newsletter and is hosting a retreat in 2023 in October so keep an eye out on that. Hope to see you some Saturday at TWIS for some stitching time. 2nd and last Saturday is our stitchy group.
Great flosstube, and lol. I am stitching halloween while I watch. Love the name of your channel. LOL you need to do counting is hard by luminous fiber arts cos yea counting is hard lol. Omg the LOVE one is fantastic! I have about 6 of them i want to do, they are kitted but not started. That is beautiful done in the circle!
@@ladyluganasarahvanwey3499 I don’t really know but there is one in a magazine I want to do. The one today is for my older grankids home, and the lizzie kate i finished while ago is for the younger grands home. My son’s kidsare 12 and 10. My daughter’s are 3.5 and 1.
So happy you love to cross stitch! Yes, keep collecting what you love as you never know how long they will be available. Start as many as you want! You are doing what you love!
Great first video! I love the seasonal montage pieces - I have not even heard of them - now I need all of them. I'm looking forward to your pattern parade and your future flosstubes.
Lol I love how you say "I don't have much done on this" and then show more than half the pattern completed🤣. I love the cardinals that you did for your mom! Beautiful!! That whole series is on my wishlist. The sloths were super cute too! Great first video!
Hi Sarah…your channel popped up this evening so I let it play! Welcome to Flosstube. I am originally from MA but now live in ME so also an east coast stitcher. I watch a lot of the same channels you do and love them all. I also crochet and am a big fan of Jane Austen. I am DYING to see the pile of Mirabilias you have! I hope you show them soon. Great first video! Good luck!
Thank you!!! I'll definitely do a pattern parade for Mira! I love her work :) We are talking about heading to Maine soon! I've never been to New England so still lots to explore.
Enjoyed your first video!! I just recorded my second one today!! :) My jaw literally hit my keyboard when you pulled up your STACK of Mirabilia patterns!! Would love a pattern parade! I love Jane Austen as well! Happy Stitching!! ~Ann
So glad I found you! You are so talented! I am also new-ish to cross stitch and I have not ventured into the world of linen yet...eek! But I would love to see your Mirabilia collection. They are stunning patterns. Hope to see more videos from you soon!
Thank you!! Once you try linen its hard to go back! I'll be hones though I do love 16 and 18 count Aida.I think I'll plan for a pattern parade at the end of the month! Waiting for a special pattern to arrive so I can give it away!
Hello and welcome! Wonderful 1st FT! Aren't Lavender & Lace and Mirabilias magnificent? I'm glad that you watch Kitchywips Maggie, I was going to suggest her channel, but you are in the know! I've stitched a number of L&L and Miras. I have an electric mix of charts, I really love too many designs! Your sloths and cardinals are gorgeous pieces. Great choices in framing, BTW. My husband and I have tossed around the idea of moving to NH. Very difficult decision between NH and TN. We grew up in Alaska and unfortunately moved down to MS to be closer to his elderly grandparents, but we've wanted to move to a state of four seasons for the past five of the six years we've lived down here. 😄 It's just too hot, too humid, too stormy for too long here along the MS Gulf Coast/LA line. Great WIPs! Looking forward to #2! Happy 4th!
I’d love to see some of your work! I bet they are stunning! NH will definitely give you four seasons! Interestingly it seems to be the destination for a lot of people who are relocating from Alaska :) The south is definitely hot, humid, and definitely buggy. I
Hi, Sarah! Welcome to the community! I had to pause your video almost immediately to comment (and subscribe!) because of your inviting personality, beautiful smile, and amazing finish on your Halloween piece. (additionally, I’m a huge Star Trek fan, so when I saw Mr. Spock on your t-shirt, I knew I was in the right place!) 🖖❤ 😅 Thank you for your service in the healing profession…I have such profound respect for you and all our first responders and soldiers! 🥰 True heroes! Meline PS - your stitching is gorgeous!!!! 🧵🪡
I so enjoyed your first flosstube! Don’t feel bad - we all have the same bug of having a lot of patterns we wish to do sometime!🥰😜thank you for sharing
Loved your 1st video! I did my first one last week so we are newbies together haha. Also, LUV all things Jane Austen. I think I need the One Nation Under God pattern 🤩
Loved your channel! You are doing a great job, I am also a nurse. I love the One Nation Under God pattern cannot wait until your next one! Enjoy your week!
Thank you for all your hard work as a nurse! We need support in both the healthcare and cross stitch world! I'm hoping to get a new video up at the end of the month!
Hello 👋 and welcome to cross stitching and flosstube! Beautiful projects! I’m a wound care technician and stitch during my lunch break as it helps to decompress. That’s a big stack of charts 😲🤣but you have stitched a lot in one year so you’ll get through those charts in no time 🤣take care and I look forward to seeing more of your videos 💜
Really enjoyed your first flosstube! I’ve also just done my first one. You have so many beautiful projects on the go but I cannot wait to see what is in your miribilia pile! My jaw dropped when you pulled them in front of the screen! I’m planning a birthday start for Autumn Queen in October so perhaps you’d like to join if she’s in your pile?
Hi nice to meet you definitely hit the subscribe button you’re fun to watch looking forward to all the things that you’re working on updates on those… Do you think there is any way you could contact your aunt have her grab a video of that piano room I think we would all like to see that… Thanks again happy stitching
Sarah love your little finishes. I to love Halloween and was married on Oct 28th. You might want to check out flosstube...Helen D...she has some wonderful pillow finishes and other tutorials. I think you would love her. She lives in New England also.
