Hi......I watched your video and you are awesome!!!!!!You are a super young gramdma!!!I love your choice of pieces you choose to do and how the finished product looks. You say you will be stitching forever and I feel the same way. I´m 77 years old, have good vision and good health and you would not believe my stash. Stitching as you say is my second job!!!!! My kids appreciate it so much and now I´m presently stitchiing a Star Wars piece for my grandson Patrick who is 5! There is ALWAYS someone or some occasion to stitch for and for my house! It is an addiction....but a great one! You say you enjoy watching others and I enjoy your videos immensely. Thank you....I can´t wait for the next one....please don´t take too long! Happy stitching!!!!!
Luna27, Thanks so very much for the kind words and encouragement. I plan to stitch the planets for my little grandson. Something that I hope he will cherish for years to come. At some point I know he will want a Star Wars picture too. Happy Stitching!
Lorrie, I think your bags are super duper! I also adore, adore, adore that sampler your stitching. Those colors....YOWZA beautiful! Love all the girls you mentioned...Emily, Evergreen Needle (she impressed the heck out of me too)...all of them. Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching and sewing with us! I LOVE IT! And thank you too for your kind words about me and my blog. OH and did you know that those snippets from Summer House has a complimentary pattern that she shared somewhere for those to create an all in one piece?! Send me an e-mail and I can link you. I think I saved the pattern too....and it was a freebie so I can give it to you!
Vonna Pfeiffer, In my stitchy world you are a rock star! I am so glad that you're watching. Thanks for mentioning the border pattern for Fragments. Shortly after my posting this video our mutual friend Yvonne enlightened me about that freebie. I plan to start it this year. Have you seen the newest edition of that series that came out at market? Those blues and gold? Oh my!!!
Loved this first Flosstube! I'm in Charleston SC so guess we're neighbors! I've watched your more current tubes and love them and your work. My husband loves your soothing voice and I agree! Look forward to seeing you soon 😃
Hi Linda! Welcome to my channel! It’s always nice to “meet” another Carolina Stitcher. I am across the state from you in Aiken. Hopefully we will get an opportunity to meet someday soon. ❤️
I'm watching Flosstube #1 videos to see how everyone starts out in an attempt to gather the courage to do my own! Loved seeing your stitching projects. I especially like your project pouches and am inspired to make some. Great video. Will be watching.
Cathy, Do it!!! I am so glad that I did. This community is welcoming and accepting. You'll enjoy it and will make many new stitch friends! When you take the plunge, comment back here and I will be sure to watch! You can do it!
I'm a self-taught stitcher & sewer also. I make myself scroll rod grime guards. They're not perfect, but they look good and are functional & that's all I need them to be :-). You made such lovely project bags. Happy stitching :-)
You are so darn cute and a delight to watch. You actually remind me of Vonna. Your project bags are great. Nice job. Looking forward to many videos. You were great for a first timer. Thanks.
Hello and a belated welcome to FlossTube!! I'm behind in watching videos, so my apologies for not watching you sooner. I'm the same way... I find somebody new to watch, and I have to start at the beginning, so that's what I'm doing now.
Welcome Lori! Hope I spelled that correctly,... Your work is very nice and I love the patterns you have chosen. I'm not into the primitive, but your picks are really cute! Glad you made the leap into the foray with all of us!
Thanks for the sweet comments. I don't have a specific stitch style. I stitch what speaks to me. I love Miras, have a HAED in tge works, and love a good freebie pattern. Keep watching. You may just see something that you like too. ☺
Great video.... I LOVE your project bags. I'm not good with a sewing machine but I think I have to attempt a project bag... Your choice of fabrics is striking....Love them, love them, love them... did I say I love them ? :) Please do keep making your videos and share your WIPS and FFO with us. Love your Southern accent (and your friendly personality) reminds me of my relatives back home (Arkansas). SO, from the Pacific Northwest, welcome to Flosstube and Happy Stitching. Hugs, Toni
Toni Lawson, Thanks for the warm welcome Toni. I do enjoy making the videos, and sharing my projects. Who else understands my happiness over a WIP or completed project bag like another stitcher? Happy Stitching!
Hi, Lorrie! I just discovered Flosstube by accident about a week ago, and oh my goodness! I have been having such a great time discovering all these wonderful stitchers and their fabulous creations and great personalities...what a blessing! I’ve been away from stitching for a very long time, but now have the opportunity to come back to it, and I have to say that among the wealth of great Flosstubers I’ve been privileged to watch, that Mischievous Stitches is one of my very favorites! You have a beautiful spirit that shines through, and your videos are such a pleasure to watch. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us! 💜
Welcome to Flosstube! Great job on the bags. I love your fabric choices. My mother's family is from your area, out towards Lake Murray. They settled in that area around 1780ish.
MakingLifeCount, Thanks! I love hearing that about your family. Thanks for sharing it with me. My Mother's family has been here just as long as yours.. My father's family is from Georgia.
Just found your videos and I thoroughly enjoyed your first one. I absolutely love your project bags. You did a great job on them. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Hope you have a great week.
Phylis Parsons I am so glad you found me and that you plan to keep watching! The project envelopes are so much fun to make, and I can always use another to store my WIPs in. Happy Stitching!
Just found you on flosstube. Love all your videos and projects. I am from Ohio and am 66 years old and an on and odd cross stitcher since the 1980's. More on now since stitch may is and floss tube.
+Batb Severino I am so glad that you found me! You are very welcome here! I too was an on again off again stitcher until I found Flosstube. The Stitchers here have inspired me to stitch more and help me to discover many new and wonderful things. I hope you will visit with me again soon! -Lorrie
Such an enjoyable video! I live in the upstate of SC myself! Your project bags are awesome and so is all your stitching. Look forward to seeing more videos. I don't do videos but I love to watch others while I stitch.
Janice Harrell, Another Carolina Girl! You should give the videos a try. There are a couple of other Carolina girls making videos Stitcherella (Natasha) and Nicole's Needlework. You should check them out too. Thanks for watching!
What a lovely first video. I loved your projects and the bags you've made using Vonna's tutorial.I don't make videos but love to watch them. I've subscribed and am looking forward to your next update.
solstitches, Those bags are quick and easy. They're perfect for our project storage. Jump on out there and make your own video. Everyone, to include you, have been so welcoming and supportive.
Like your little bags and fabric choice. I make seamless bags for my scroll frames and threads. They are made from a pillow case pattern so i can make different sizes for my frames. Good start on your video, enjoyed it. Karla
Just discovered your channel! New subscriber, and I will be binge watching your videos to catch up. I really enjoyed this first video. I absolutely love the fabrics you chose for your project bags! Lol my fave is the one your husband picked, because I love snowmen! Off to watch more videos!
Your friend Yvonne the Night Owl Stitcher mentioned your channel on one of her videos, so I stopped by to check yours out. So now I'm a subscriber and I ook forward to watching the rest of your videos.
Emily C, I have been watching your progress on DBCS. I love you idea of using the Dinky Dyes swatches. That would be a great idea for all the gifted threads that I have accumulated. Next video I will give a shout out to Jimmy! Maybe my guy will show up eventually.
You did good! I laughed because I, too have become addicted to flosstube and have binge watched my favorites from beginning to end. Looking forward to seeing and hearing more from you.
Welcome to Flosstube--great first video! I did the Plum Street Samplers nativity too--and I agree about watching flosstubers from beginning to end and feeling like I know some of these people!
Welcome to flosstube, great wips, beautiful project bags with wonderful fabric choices. Looking forward to seeing your updates in the future. Happy Stitching 😊
Welcome! Your project bags are so cute! I'm an NC girl living in GA, so whenever I go back home to visit I always try to stop by The Stitch & Frame in Rock Hill. Looking forward to future videos from you!
I just discovered your channel tonight. You have the most wonderfully soft and easy to listen to voice. I really loved your projects, and the project bags you made are amazing! I wish I could sew. I'm wanting to learn just so I can make cute little bags like that lol. I have only seen a few of twisted stitcher's videos, but I'll definitely be looking for that tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing your work 😁
Welcome to Flosstube! Loved you 1st video! Your bags came out so nice! I've been wanting to make one since seeing Vonna's tutorial. The fabric you picked was so fun! Going to watch your next video so I can get caught up! Happing Stitching 😊
Welcome to Flosstube ;-) You have soooo beautiful WiP's. I especially love the "Tapestry Sampler" - love the colors! Great job on the bags. I love your fabric choices! Can't wait to see more of your projects! Have a good stitchy week, Silvia

Love your first flosstube episode! really interesting projects.. particularly like 'Wishing thee merriness' kit you've got :) and your project bags are brilliant :)
Katharine D, I am happy that you are watching. I have only recently come to love Homespun Elegance. Specifically their Christmas designs. They are such fun quick stitches.
welcome to flosstube, your stitching is beautiful and i wish i coud self teach my self to sew as good as you did! i cant sew a straight line to save my life LOL looking forward to your updates :)
OriettaStitches, I learned to sew from RU-vid. Check out Mrs Jenny from The Missouri Star Quilt Company. She has many tutorials to chose from. I started with some of her small projects and worked my way up.
Found you thru stitcerella on Instagram. I have that "wishing thee merriness" santa chart! I haven't done it yet and haven't seen anyone else do it. Can't wait to see your finish. Your project bags are great! And I love the framed sampler you did. Thanks for making the video, hope you do more! Following you on IG now too!
Golden hair stitcher Susan, Sounds like we have similar tastes in patterns. I love the Old World Style Santa's by Homespun Elegance. I completed one this Christmas but have not finished it I to an ornament. I will be sure to post/video it when I do.
love your pieces! I'm a Heartstring Samplery fan, too. We have very similar tastes in patterns! And your project bags are beautiful. I am also a self-taught sewer, and have made three bags from Vonna's tutorial. anyway I'm excited to see more from you! And will look you up on IG. :)
God With Us is on my to do this year. I want to do it for my mother-in-law. My only problem is every time I make something for someone I also want to make one for myself. Double the work!
Hi Michelle! Welcome to my channel! You're very welcome here. You're about Two and a half hours from me. I often shop at Stitch and Frame in Rock Hill. Maybe we could meet up sometime.
Barbara Boddy, Thanks! I used Vonna's project envelope tutorial from here on flosstube and used her recommended measurements. I will share the link. They are easy to sew up. You must try a few of your own.
Hello! I love all your videos! I have spent over an hour looking online for the chart for your amazing Elizabethan Sampler by Brittercup Designs...so far impossible to find! I just love it, and collect 9 square designs. Any ideas where I might find it? It was not on the Brittercup website either! Thanks so much, keep posting...just love you and Yvonne!
Shari Witt , Thank you so much for watching. I found one on eBay, but it is $65.00! The chart is now out of print. Here is a link just in case you're interested: Look at this on eBay www.ebay.com/itm/252690456622
Thanks I will check it out. If its still there on payday...I'll probably get it. Part of my problem was I thought you said Brittercup, and it was Brightneedle. Silly me! Anyway, I am ashamed to say I have spend that much (and more??? oh no) a couple of times when I really loved something. Priorities, you know! :) Thanks with love!
This is the first video i have seen with the fragments in time alphabet. I just purchased those and curious how you finished those if you stitched them??? I am sure it will take me a while to catch up on your videos and you might have it in another video already. Great first video. Looking forward to catching uo.
+Cindys cross stitch I haven't stitched any more of the fragments, but plan to stitch them on one piece of fabric, as a sampler using the border that is provided by the designer at request. They're great designs. Have a great weekend Cindy!
I really like your framed piece God With Us. I looked at the freebies available on Plum Street Samplers and didn't see it. Is that the correct designer?
Emily Cossins, Hi! Yes, that is the correct designer. It was a Christmas freebie. I would think that it is still available on Paulette of Plum Street Samplers blog.
Emily Cossins, I found it. It is named "Mary's Sampler." Here's the link. Enjoy! plumstreetsamplers.typepad.com/plum_street_samplers/2013/11/marys-sampler-finale.html
