Flosstube #1 - Welcome to my channel! 

I could not have stumbled on a better flosstube than yours! Cross stitching and books--oh my! You are delightful and your presentation of each item is spot on!

You are a natural! I am a sort of empty nester too. It's different for sure... I am looking forward to your future videos' am starting Winter Rose Garden as soon as my last two colors arrive. I stitched in the 80's when my family was young... so was I... Dropped it as I taught middle school math and science for 20 years and recently picked it back up and oh my Goodness, what a world of difference.!! I am also a self taught quilter, trying to keep busy... have a great rest of your day.

What great projects and loved hearing about your family and pups. I bought the Halloween one as well. Waiting on my fabric to arrive as I have no brick and mortar shops near me. I originally purchased 40ct bramble when I bought the pattern, but my old eyes cannot see to stitch, so I re-purchased more fabric in 36 ct stormy night. I also want to get the houses from Hawk Hollow Farm too! Keep up the great work and will enjoy seeing more floss tubes from you. Janice

You did a wonderful job! I love all your WIPs. I have a broken leg due to a car accident, so I’m just sitting. I have my leg in a brace and I’m m not supposed to put any weight on it. Hi Sarah, G'day from Melbourne, Australia. I love to stitch and also read. (I work in a school library). I've been stitching since the early 90's too. I have quite a few WIPs but am concentrating on two this year - Yoda for my friend's son and the Linen and Threads Quaker Family and Friends (2020 SAL) for my sister's birthday in a year or so. I belong to a regular stitching group, The Cross Stitchers of Ballarat. We have been together since 2018 and get around 30 attending each month. Stitch Con is on my bucket list! A couple of years ago, I took my project out of the hoop and started stitching without it. But I felt so guilty! Like I was doing something wrong. Then I discovered flosstube and found there's a lot of people who stitch that way. And it even has a name! Now, I always stitch in hand. But it's a personal choice. Whatever gets the job done and brings us pleasure is all that matters, right? And I am loving your videos! I'm also a huge fan of Just Keep Stitchin', and Elizabeth Can Stitch, too!

I use Mill Hill beads instead of French Knots too!

Your first floss tube was just fine. I loved the "blast from the past" - that would be a nice regular segment since you have so much. Doing beads on your FFO instead of French knots is perfectly ok and besides, it is a Christmas piece so you need to have bling on it, right?

So I was going to say that I was going to be a full-time follower, but then you started talking about how close you are to stitch con! Now I’m just way too jealous!! Lol, I joke…. For owl forest 100 owls, I will stitch in diagonal or following the shape of the owl to keep the 3d effects without the stripes

Great floss tube with wonderful projects. Your variegated floss from Owl Forest looks beautiful! Hope to see more of your doggies. I have a chihuahua and a chihuahua mix rescue who may be a chi weenie. I got back into cross stitching after not having stitched for over 20 years and yes floss tube opened up a whole new world for me. So fun to see everyone’s talented stitching and choice of patterns.

I'm new to discovering Flosstube! I'm in the UK and have been cross stitching on/off since a child. I'd love to know how many project bags you have? I love how your bags match you WIPs! They are gorgeous. I stitch and do Papercraft, mostly card making, and my mum sews so maybe I could persuade her to make me a project bag. 💗

Hi, "Stitchy" Sarah! I am so glad that RU-vid suggested you, my over-my-shoulder StitchCon buddy! Hah! Wow! I love seeing you on Flosstube! The bookshelf behind you is so neat and loaded with great reads! I started stitching in the 5th grade, and then as a teen and adult my stitching project patterns mostly came from the dime store, catalogs, and small arty vacation shops. I had stashed my magazines, but chose to either donate or toss with our remodel in 2015. My jam in the 80s through the aughts was stitching everyone a marriage or birth announcement. I've done embroidery, candle wicking, crewel, needlepoint, as well as cross-stitching. I always have my stitching folio ready for vaca stitching, although for the last decade I've been quilting like crazy from my own designs, or from kits, or with BOMs. Wow, Sarah, your wreath is so lovely! I see this went up on July 7th...so, I look forward to catching up with your newer releases!
