Kim I am so proud of your achievements on your projects in progress. You have done an outstanding job on all of them. Kim you are an amazing and talented lady. I know I say this a lot but I truly mean everyone word of it. I can relate to frogging the Witchy Tea Thyme when your stitching is off. This week I had to frog some of my stitching on "Love is the nicest gift of all" by Stoney Creek and still it is somewhat off but I can fudge it because the colors are similar. I could have given up but I did not because I really love the pattern it is an old Stoney Creek pattern. I always enjoy the stories of both the Air Force and Naval Aviation story. It was interesting how the ships were redone. Fun to watch and learn. Always look forward to seeing your videos. Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat

Thanks for all your kind words Pat. My mom watches my videos and told me that my grandpa (he died before I was born) was drafted into the Navy in WWII and worked in Chicago. He wasn't on the ships but it's nice to know of the link to them! Happy stitching!

Hi Kim. Thats a bugger 2nd time filming and the frogging. But you did amazing progress on your wips.andvprogress us progress regardless of confetti or not. And yay for breaking a stitching record. Thanks for the airforce story and news..😁. Happy stitching and go break some more records. That would be great.🐸🐝

Thanks Occam! Don't know how much more I can break my record...it gets boring because I can only do that much when there's a LOT of one color. I love all the progress though.

@@msufly agree but it is surprisingly quick and not as messy as other building jobs. Just keep Hopper draft free and warm. Everyone else. Well. We used a storage heater in a side room till one room was done and then shuffled our budgies around. Take care. :)

@@sandraf6033 Hopper will be going to a neighbor's house during the work. Whenever workmen come over, he freezes and doesn't move until they leave so it would stress him alot for a number of them to be in the house for 2 days. Plus all the noises...so I'd rather he just spent the 2 days or so where I know he does fine. The neighbor has a green cheek conure, lots of other animals, and 2 active boys who love Hopper's visits.

Sorry about the 🐸 🐸. Love your museum piece. Not something I would have chosen from the HAED pic but it’s so amazing watching your progress. Nice fabrics. So good to be ahead of your goals. Long Dog Samplers has new chart - Opening Gambit. Resisting it as been working on DBCS. It will be ANZAC day here in Australia on Sunday. My daughter is in the airforce here so important day here. Good the marches etc will be able to take place this year. Fascinating re the aircraft carrier training.

I can't see your entire shirt, but I am from Michigan so I'm loving the Great for the Great Lakes! It is green... I am a UofM fan and I know you are a Sparty... I'm still pretty behind on the bookshelf challenges, but I have a pretty good plan for May thanks to the fun challenges in FCF and in Semi Sane. It will be a heavy full coverage month for me! Birds and Blooms max color is a beast. I don't even know how many colors I did. I just know I did one strand of each color I touched and had just over 1,600 stitches.
@msufly
@msufly 3 года назад
A fellow Michigander! I'll forgive the fact that you're a UofM fan....for now. 😆 I believe I got the shirt from 6dollarshirts .com. It's just a funny shirt with writing and arrows saying 'this one is great!' and 'The greatest!' and 'Not so great...j/k' 1.6k stitches is awesome progress for only 1 strand of each color!

Every stitch counts - just because you weren't in the depths of confetti despair doesn't mean it wasn't an amazing amount of progress! Glad you were able to get Tea Time back on track. You're closing in on a finish on that one. Summer Ball looks great too! That Dauntless is in great condition for having been in the water for so long. Must be the cold temps? In other burning questions, we were watching a movie where a fiberglass-hulled power boat was in a B52 and dropped out into the water, which cracked the hull. Is this even remotely a scenario that could happen (more asking about the B52 and not the boat. I'm sure the hull could get cracked.)
@msufly
@msufly 3 года назад
I think the Dauntless was in good condition because it was in fresh water, not salt. Google says Lake MI water temp varies between 32-78°F. Did the boat drop out from the bomb bay of the B-52? I suppose it's possible if it was specially fitted to hold the boat. DH estimates the bomb bay is about 6 ft wide. But no, that scenario seems pretty ridiculous.

So....I would really like to see the back of one of your full coverage pieces 😉 Thanks for the shoutout; I do get a thrill watching the big boys fly around, especially the 747 (they brought 2 of them in). Are you or your husband private pilots? Thanks for the video and the plane stories, have a great week!
@msufly
@msufly 3 года назад
The 747s are the NAOC planes. National Airborne Operation Center. There's only 4 of them and 1 is on alert at all times. You can do literally anything from that plane in terms of national defense. Neither of us have a PPL but hubby may want to get one in the future. My only flight time was doing Civil Air Patrol as a ROTC cadet. Happy stitching! P.s. you can see the back of my full coverage pieces in both of my SWM videos, and I also showed Oh Baby up close in the finish video.
@texadianstitcher
@texadianstitcher 3 года назад
I'd do a strong focus on the piece you want to finish before switching bases (ink circles?) as you've learned you may move sooner than expected. So being possibly ahead in other categories will let you have the extra time to get your base finish, plus time available for any hiccups in a move that could take stitching time away.
@msufly
@msufly 3 года назад
Good idea but my update a couple weeks ago was that there's no longer a chance of moving early. We won't be moving before next summer and my current pace of 1 page every 3 months on Big Red Ship will see it finished. I don't want to finish it early because then it won't fully represent our time here. 😊

Your stitchy progress was awesome 😎 congratulations on the mileage covered 🎉 The variegated orange thread you used for the lace on the table is super cute. I am looking forward to listening to your thought process as you reassess your goals and what you ultimately decide. I did watch the SWM video & left a comment, don’t see it listed. RU-vid sometimes does weird things with comments so I didn’t leave another. I like those types of episodes so thanks for posting.

Thanks Heather! I saw the notification for your comment on the SWM but like you, I couldn't find it on the video so I'm glad you commented here. Sometimes YT randomly marks comments as "likely spam" and I can't access them after their last update last year to correct them. I mis-spoke in my video because I forgot that I've also met the goal already on Card Sharp, so that makes 3. I'm interested to see how many more pages I get in May & June.
