I'm always so happy to see a new video from you. Big congratulations for 1000 subscribers! I'm certainly not surprised by that number, you share so many lovely things with us and are so endearing. I would love to have the girl cushion, all the spring colors are my favorite, but especially blue or yellow. It's hard to choose just one. The photo on your banner is beautiful. Are those covered chairs to shade you from the sun and/or wind? I've never seen anything quite like them. As for the needles, I have always used tapestry needles for cross stitch. The sharps/ embroidery needles are used for surface embroidery, sharps are just that and shorter that I have used for hand quilting. There are so many kinds of needles it's easy to get confused. I have a gauge that measures the number of threads per inch of fabric, it also tells what size needle to use: The more threads per inch, the larger the number size of the needle used. So for instance, using 40 ct. linen I would use a size 28 tapestry needle, for 25 ct, a 26 needle, for 14 ct a 24 needle. None of the points (tips) are sharp enough to prick your fingers, they are blunt (not pointy) Hope that's more clear. If you have trouble threading your needle, use a needle threader that sticks thru the eye of needle, you slip the thread thru the wire or metal loop then pull back thru the eye. Voila, threaded needle!

Frances Poole is just coming along sweetly, and all of your smalls...no matter if you made them when you just started finishing or you just made them, they are so very gorgeous! I like the boy! I have just re-stitched a small ornament I did for my grand-daughter... originally it was on a cream fabric and the colors just didn't pop the way I wanted them to so I re-stitched on a white and it's much brighter and happier, so I completely understand. What is it with openings in items that have to be turned? Like you, mine are always too small, no matter how carefully I plan. We will have to work on that.
