I hope you are all well and enjoying some Spring weather. Today I will share with you my stitching and a little segment on placing a large project on a Q-Snap.

I have enjoyed watching you for a long time and am always so touched by the love you have for your family. Your grandchildren are so beautiful and I can only imagine how much you treasure the ones of Libby with her twin. By using 16, 18, and 28 count, you show how you can make beautiful works of art without using the high counts of linen. At 73 years old, those high counts just aren't possible for me. I also watch my pennies and use DMC as well as the same project bags that you use. Years ago, you shared where you had purchased them and I've been saving money (which I use for patterns and fabric) ever since. I look forward to seeing you on youtube in June! Have a great bbq!!

Hi Karen, all your kind words mean so much to me. They have touched my heart in so many ways. I enjoy working on Aida just as much as 28 count. The only difference for me when I see others work on smaller counts, is the project is smaller and I have to work a little harder in finding frames. I do the framing myself. Oh I love photographs, it’s just so much better than scrolling through a phone! Your grandchildren are beautiful, your Libby will always be missed . Hopefully your are all comforted a little knowing you have a beautiful little angel watching over your family 💖🥹🙏🏻 I am always amazed at the amount of stitching you get done in your wonderfully busy life! I do like how taught qsnaps keep the fabric unfortunately for me it hurts my shoulders , wrists and hands….. but we all find a way to enjoy our stitching 😊🤗🤗

Thanks Mary Jo. Everything Libby had to go through in her journey she was always such a trooper. I don't think a day goes by that I don't think of her. Your projects are awesome. I love how your stitches seem to pop right off the fabric. I too have that "resting" face. My hubby will say "SMILE" you look grumpy. I'm not, that's just my face ! ! I really enjoy seeing all your beach themed projects. I need to do more of them. In Colorado, we have no beaches, but still I'd be on one if I could.

Lori, thank you for sharing how you put your fabric on Q-snaps. I have never used a Q-snap because I didn't know what to do with the extra fabric or I didn't want the Q-snap on top of my stitching. I think I will try your method after I order a few more supplies. Magnets for sure. I loved seeing pictures of Angel Libby. Thank you for sharing the photos with us.

Hi Lori! The Welcome Summer piece looks 3 dimensional! Beautiful finishes. Strawberry Faire is so pretty. I love that design. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to NJ Needlefest. Thank you for sharing photos of your beautiful grandchildren ♡ I enjoy hearing about them. Mine are 13, 14, and 16 and still as sweet as they were when they were little. I enjoyed the tutorial! Your pillows are so cute! You stitch the same kind of patterns I would pick for myself. A few more patterns may jump in my cart. I do my qsnaps about the same way but use a piece of felt between the fabric and qsnap. When I want to remove the qsnap, I pull up on the felt. That way I don’t take the chance of damaging the fabric.

Felt is a great fabric for the Q-snap but I personally would not use a colored felt. Just in case the color should get on the fabric. Enjoy your weekend💕

Another wonderful video! As I was watching, I wondered why I don’t buy bright projects or more pastel projects. The flower project is so darn happy and I also love the house with pink in it. I think I need to broaden my horizons. Love all your pillows and finishes. Thanks for showing how you do qsnaps. I need to get some of those magnets. You have such a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing the pictures. I don’t know why but I didn’t realize that Libby was a twin. I know that this probably isn’t true, but I hope that maybe you feel a connection to her when you hold Layla since they were two little peas in a pod together. Happy Memorial Day!

Hi Linda, Libby and Layla were to be identical twins the egg split. But something happened with the genetics in Libby. I still get emotional when I see twins out. Layla is so sassy, I sometimes wonder how Libby would have been with her. I'll never know and that's life. Thanks for visiting with me! 💕

The colors of the Red House Sampler are fantastic, are you using the colors/threads as charted? Your qnap looks much more together than mine! The kids are so cute! I can’t wait until my boys get married and we have grandbabies.

Yes, I used the called for colors on the Red House Sampler. They are DMC. All the Company Sampler pieces I've stitched and am stitching are DMC. Happy Stitching 💕

Hi Lori! I love your videos so much and your life updates too 🥰. Can you tell me what length/size silicone tie backs you use on your larger projects to hold the excess fabric on the Qsnap? Also where did you find them? There are so many different ones on Amazon.

Hi Elaine, the ones I used in the video are 7 inches long. I purchased ones that were 4 inches and they don't even make it around the q snap. A viewer told me she'd send some to me because she wouldn't use them all. I think she bought them on Amazon. Happy stitching💕

I need to pick it up again! Too many projects😅 I do my qsnaps the same way - even putting batting strips on the ends. Great minds think alike😎. happy stitching!

The Q-snap for large projects with excess fabric looks like a great way to keep it tidy, out of the way. Thanks for sharing this technique. I think the shelf liner might be like the Grip It stuff you can put under a rug to keep it from sliding. I remove my Q-snaps two ways, like you did or I loosen the Q-snap up, then slide off if no stitches are under the clamp, I think it is less stress on the clamp. I've heard some stitchers have broken many. Great pics, enjoy Memorial Day!!!

Hi Dee, I've broken q snaps and had to buy replacements. But I've also bought other brands at Hobby Lobby and Michael's. They are all mixed up so I don't know which is which but as long as they work, I'm a Happy camper. Happy Memorial Day💕

I have a similar Brenda Keyes sampler waiting to be stitched one of these days. Her colors are so rich! Looking forward to stitching with you again on the 8th! I like so many of your projects. However, his time one in particular drew my attention. I am not a big fan of samplers, but that Brenda Keys big sampler is absolutely beautiful. You have much more experience with samplers than me, so I would like to ask you if you could talk more about it. I mean it seems to me very detailed and much much more realistic than samplers usually are , with the house, the tree, the couple... Is it just my opinion that it is more than a regular sampler ? I do not think it is because of how large the piece is, because there are other big ones and they do not look realistic. So I would like to hear what you think and how you feel about this piece. Well, I will try and speak about the Brenda Keys Sampler in my next video. I've only been stitching since 2017 so I'm not really that experienced of a stitcher but maybe what I say will inspire you to try a sampler. Happy stitching💕

@OnceUponAStitch I did that with The Halloween Sampler by Teresa Kogut. I tore out an almost complete border, restitched, stopped and counted, it was wrong again. Did that two more times, over 3 days, ended up throwing it across the room. Stitched about 3/4 of it and still don't know if it will meet up. Ugh!

Hi Lori, what a great video! Wow you got a lot done. I don’t seem to get as much done in 2 days. Thinking of ye old crow which I have done and never got that amount in 2 days. You stitch so beautiful. Also must say, the pictures of the grands are so special.❤ pictures are great. And thanks for showing how you do large ones in q snaps. I used to use them but hurt my thumb but am thinking of trying for next big one as did my last full coverage inha d which isn’t fun but my back doesn’t do well with my floor stand. Hi Cindy, when I'm stitching with my Qsnap, I'm not holding it, I'm resting it on a table. This way my hands do not tire or hurt. The only thing that stops me from stitching is when my eyes start to close. Then I have to stop or the next time I pick it up, I just likely will be frogging! Lol. Happy Stitching 💕
