I hope it inspires other people to perhaps find artists they love and potentially go about this the same way, which supports the artist, increases traffic to their pages, and is still more affordable for most people than the original painting would be. Also, I laughed out loud at "it's a free pattern, and I would *not* recommend it." And I hear what you're saying, but the fabric in the finished object looks very crisp and graphic and I love the colors. Happy birthday! I started Painted Flowers last year for my birthday, need to get back to it! I have a few Gigi pieces I’m ready to start too! I’ll start one in honor of your birthday this month! 🎉 I will definitely check out the channels you mentioned. And I wanted to mention a group that stitches together from Welcome Stitchery, called Stitch in BE ( Blue Earth). They all run right alongside my style and aesthetics and your color choices in thread and fabric are always *chefs kiss*. Happy birthday Hannah! My birthday is on Tuesday….so we have something else in common…April birthdays and needing a birthday week to do all of our birthday starts! 😂 I have to admit that some of the albums you showed were new when I was in college and working at a record store. The record companies used to send lots of posters, etc as publicity and it was my job at our store to make bulletin board displays for the new albums…. You probably would have liked many of the vinyl albums I used to have from that job. I got rid of them when I moved to CDs. Who would have thunk records would come back? They used to melt down bad/old records to make new ones so we would sometimes have new albums with chunks of old labels, etc in them or they would be melted and all waffley….weird to remember that. Vincent is still my favorite Don McLean song and how can a Colorado girl not love John Denver!? I literally just found that mushroom book SAL today, but the stitch along packet is currently not available so I’m hoping she reopens her Etsy shop mid May.
