Believe , Dream, Christmas, Strong, Circle. Do stay strong for yourself and them, hard as it is. You will see them again. It won't be the same but I'm sure you'll make the times they do spend visiting even more special. Unfortunately that's life and at least they still have that. That sampler is so pretty. I wonder how many pieces never get stitched because the cover pictures are so unflattering? I wish I had an LNS somewhere within 4 hours of me so I could see samples, the true colours of the threads and linen, feel the fabrics. It's part of the reason I enjoy flosstube so much. It's not perfect but you get to see the movement of the fabric, the light playing on the thread, seeing the colours interact in a more 3D fashion. Thanks to all the flosstubers , and Niecie Lynn, for convincing me to acquire a bloody large , and growing, stash of crossstitch necessities 😂.

Noah's Ark projects are so cute, I have stitched a few and love them all. Have a wonderful Mother's Day with family. We celebrated today so my boys and their families can take care of their kids' momma's over the weekend. I just love being with my family celebrating anything! Christmas

Circle Happy Mother's Day! I had my DILs over on Saturday with my sons for a nice cookout! This way, they had Sunday to do what they wanted to do and didn't have to worry about adding a visit to me! It was such a nice afternoon with 3 of my grandkids (I have 6), two of my kids, and my wonderful daughters-in-law!

Hi Niecie, “Happy Mother’s Day”!!! You are so fun to watch each week especially to start my weekends! I always get a good chuckle along the way! All your Noah’s are so sweet; please show a closer look of each of them this week. I know you didn’t have much time last Friday but would love a closer look! We share similar Mother’s Day celebrations; we usually celebrate the day before and at my own home or one of my siblings to avoid crowds and stress! Always so much more relaxing and enjoyable! Stitching question: how do you spread out stitching on each of your projects? Do you work on one project a night and switch every day so that your wips each get some love? I get in this mode where I work on one and I’m making good progress and enjoying it that I don’t want to stop….which means less love on my other wips. Anyway; hope you and your family have a fabulous family Mother’s Day get together! See you next Friday!

You crack me up Niecie! Your voice on 1.5 would definately come across a little chipmunk-ish but I’m glad you reminded me about the speed setting. The family and littles moving will be hard, but just focus on the wonderful celebrations that will come with every visit. Be strong - you are such a bid part of their lives that your times together will always be so special! And thank goodness for FaceTime! During the pandemic - one of my littles would FaceTime on the phone and put it in his little play car and take me with him for a ride. Thanks always for sharing with us.

For someone who had so many events in the past week, you sure did get a lot of beautiful stitching done. I started to laugh when you said the Permin kit instructions weren't in English. My Aunt use to bring home kits from Permin, Danish Handcraft Guild & Thumbelina when she traveled in Europe. Back in the '60s there were no local sources for translation, certainly no internet, and my motto was "shot your best shot" and just go for it. Most of the time the kit's picture was also in black and white, no help there as well. On subsequent visits she often chuckled at my color choice placements. Looked ok to me and I had lots of fun stitching. Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day with your family visit and it includes lots of laughter and fun!

I do know how you feel having your children so far away. My 4 are all over the southeast, and visits are few and far between due to everyone’s schedules. But it makes me cherish those visits more. I am currently in Alabama at my youngest daughter’s baby shower and it’s going to be a girl! Sending hugs to you as they get ready for their big move to Florida. Oh my gosh Niecie we would laugh so much together. If I ever come down to Texas I will find you. I want to share with you my story similar to yours about your darling babies moving to FL. So our first born grandbabies from my oldest daughter, we practically raised. My husband and I taught and we had them every summer since they were born. We had them all the time like your littles. Then one day when our grandsons were 9 and 11 we had a family gathering, lots of family. My daughter and son-in-law thought it would be a good time to break the news they had an opportunity to go New Zealand. They were excited but I thought someone had punched me in the stomach. I was stunned. My mind was such a mess for, I can’t remember how long. Short version, they moved back after 8 months. But even if it had been the next state I would have not known what I would do. Praying for your mama’s heart. Love the Permin of Copenhagen designs. ❤ I have nothing cute to come up for circle 😂

Happy Mother’s Day! Hope you have a great time with family. I totally agree with you on restaurants on Mother’s Day. My kids took me to breakfast one year and it was so busy and as we walked in a family walking out said their waitress just quit in the middle of their breakfast. We turned around and had a wonderful breakfast at home. Love the stitching your Noah projects are so cute. See ya soon.

On my, I feel you over your kids moving. Four of my six grandchildren are in Tennessee and one in Alabama. I’m so thankful that I still have one grandson and my youngest daughter living about 20 minutes from us. My Tennessee kids have been there a year and I think I’ve finally been able to stop crying 😢😂❤. It’s really helped to always have the next trip for a visit planned. We FaceTime once a week so that helps too. Birthdays are still hard… They have gotten really plugged in and involved with their church and new home school group so they love it there. (Darn it 😂) I just pray a lot and enjoy every moment I get with them. Cross stitching is a great distraction ❤. Sending love!

Life is a circle...the circle of life❤🎶 I can't imagine you without those grand babies around. ROAD TRIP! I know about every yarn and quilt and stitching shop between here and Pittsburgh...all because grandkids. Hope to hit Color and Cotton new shop on the way to see the in-laws. I know you'll make the best of it, and FaceTime and all the technology will help. But I feel your pain somewhat. Ours were born far away, so we just look forward to seeing them whenever we can. But yours were there with you. That part breaks me for you. You can still tell us all about them later on because now they are part of this journey with you. Hugs.

Oh, my goodness that sampler is the reason I love to see the stitching in person, not just the chart. But, it's amazing in the real life stitching!!!❤ I still couldn't understand the name, but wow! I too adore Noah's Ark charts . I think we're so accustomed to Noah that we fail to see how amazing that true story is and all it has to teach us. I love junking wherever we go on our travels! Niece sorry your kids and grandkids are moving away. I did that to my parents but moved way over to Spain. We didn't have video calls back in 1986 just letter writing. I didn't even have a home phone,they were expensive to have installed. Look at the bright side,you have video calls and you can visit whenever. I video call with my Mom every day. Keep strong Niece!! Even though it will be hard. Your stitching is beautiful. The backstitching on that one sampler is really making it pop. Just beautiful. Really enjoy your videos. Until next time, happy stitching. 🙂

I love the Noah collection,and am happy to see the drawing that I sent all framed up! I haven’t gotten around to sending the ‘Stitched and Sewn’ book yet,but it does mention the Yemenite style. The book is autographed,which is a wonderful thing,having a signature of a Holocaust Survivor(she is from Ukraine!) I really like those tiny Scandinavian patterns,like that cottage that you started,they remind me of 17th century lowland painting,from the Netherlands. Happy Morhers/Grandmothers day❤️

I thoroughly agree about eating eggs! As a child, we had more than 200 chickens at a time. My job was to get the eggs, determine if any need to go to the incubator, etc. My knowledge about this keeps me from eating eggs.

So sorry to hear about your kids moving away, that's so hard! I hope you get so many opportunities to visit. We didn't want to go to a restaurant on Mother's Day either. I don't want to be the one cooking, but I REALLY don't want to be stuck waiting in that madness. Also - yes to 1.5x speed on audiobooks! 1000% with you, cannot stand how slow they can be at regular speed. Oh my goodness the Little House Needleworks Reindeer Games pattern is adorable!! I'm with you on eating out on holidays, but not necessarily for the same reason (although being an introvert is high on the list of reasons). Soapbox moment: we've become a nation of the dollar instead of God and family. No one should be working on major holidays; they should be with their families as well. Because we can't seem to get gas the day before, people are working in convenience stores on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter. Because we can't plan ahead on Christmas gifts (and gotta have thousands of them), stores open on Thanksgiving. Because we dont want anyone in our family to be "put out" by cooking, people have to wait tables instead of soaking up family time and love themselves. If we stopped spending money on those few days a year, the stores and restaurants wouldn't make any money and would stop being open. Ok...off my rant!! Hope your Mother's Day is blessed and you get to soak up all the love from those you love the most!

What is wrong with Texas? We have a new picture taken at every license renewal. You know there is some 80 year old Texan still rocking the picture from her first license…lol. I think you need to get Aria an airline pass. I can see her deciding she needs some Shug time, packing her bag and taking off from Florida. With an airline pass you won’t have to worry about her hitchhiking. Take care.
