It was fun to hear of your adventures with your friends! The dunes sound very exhilarating and a little scary! But my son and daughter would love it! I understand the fatigue that sets in when company comes and you want to keep up with everyone! I’ve got 12 family and friends coming to our cabin for our 16th annual 4th of July gathering…staying for 6 days…cleaning and getting ready! Fully finished 4th of July Rules and a cute pillow. Wanted to get more done, but you know how that goes! Love seeing all your projects, and particularly love Teresa Kogut’s Santa in the star. So cute! Enjoy your summer!!

Those two Framed Stitched Pictures that you showed that you got at a Thrift Shop - I am not positively sure but they kinda look like Diane Grabner Patterns because her Patterns were all done in Black. I got some of her Patterns and they look like something that would would do. I love all of your WIPS - they are pretty. I love the Sea - I love the Whales and the Dolphins. Hello Carolyn, I really enjoyed flosstube this week. I know how tiring having guests who always want to go, go, go is. I think I will send an early card to Santa and ask him to send us some cooler weather!!! I live in Texas, but today it was 95 degrees in the shade!!! Yeesh that is too hot for me!! How did our lives ever get so busy?? I think of vintage as 40-50 years old but Google says 20-100 years. 🤷🏻♀️. Hope you have a great trip. I’m looking at Christmas gift buying too. Never too early for Santa to get started. Or at least get a card ready.

Hi Carolyn! How exciting your trip down the coast sounded. I love the Oregon coast. My mom would take us camping at Beachside state park near Waldport. I continue the tradition as often as I can. We love the yurts. 😊 And the dunes in Florence! Love. Did you guys ride the BIG wheel one that looks like a bus? Or the smaller faster one? The guides are always super careful and knowledgeable about the dunes, at the same time packing in adventure and an adrenaline fueled ride. One time I made the mistake of putting on chapstick before we left, and at the end I had sand crusted allllll over my mouth and in my teeth. It was bad. Lol😅 The beach is my happy place. I sit and fly my kite for hours while my hubby builds sand castles. 😊 I wouldn’t stitch there though, too dirty and windy sometimes. I can’t wait to see your progress on Summer montage. Hi sweet friend! Beautiful pictures at the beginning of the video and, yes, I want the kitten! Congrats on getting the stars done on e pluribus unum. Looking forward to seeing Summer Montage come out to play. Still dealing with the after fire stuff, which is flaring up my sinuses again even though the repeat CT showed improvement but not totally cleared up. The CT was taken before the fire and breathing in all the crap in the air of our apartment despite 2 noisy huge HEPA air cleaners and a super dehumidifier which has caused my bedroom temperature to stay above 80 degrees every day. Still no word on when the crew is coming in to clean the vents, walls, ceilings and now the floors due to the water damage and the nasty stuff that was in the fire hoses. I cleaned the floors with 2 buckets for each 4 sq ft of floor space of ammonia and water so that Walter could at least play on the floor without the residue since the residue would not sweep up. Between that and looking for a house to move to in towns over an hour away, I have completely lost my stitching urge, having only stitched one day for less than an hour. Not sleeping well at all. Baby is still traumatized from the fire situation with us not being home, then going to Kristal's for 2 days and coming home to all these machines running. Of course the management office of the apartments closed early on Wednesday and won't be back open until 7/8. I am so far behind on everything. So glad you had a wonderful time with your friends! Love your vintage stitches you picked up at the antique store. I used to stitch this type back in the 80’s. They were called silhouettes. Sorry I don’t know the pattern name. They are really pretty! I am going to start stitching my grandkids Christmas ornaments in July. I am sure there will be a Santa or two in the mix. I used to send a card with a cross stitched saying. I think it would work for a postcard, too. Happy stitching! Hugs!❤

I wonder if I am the only one who stitches far less in summertime than in wintertime. This is the second year I barely get any stitching done in June. You seem to be pretty busy now, so you could perhaps know the feeling. The rescued pieces are really nice. This first one made me think of Scarlett and Rhett. `The pictures were nice. My daughter will usually buy a postcard, or two or three, when we our at different places. She collects them...particularly if they are ones that were sent to someone.
