Oh Cat, I wish I could give you the biggest hug imaginable 🤗😢 I loved your WIP parade, it was filled with joy and laughter, you made me giggle and you made me well up. I loved your choice of words throughout 🤣 bloody pets hey, who'd have em hey 🤣 One day in the future you'll feel strong enough and ready to do Evening and you'll be able to think of all the wonderful memories and times you had with your dad and when it's finished and hanging pride of place in your lounge you'll remember him each time you pass it, don't push yourself you'll know when you're ready xxx

My condolences Catherine, I know how hard it is to lose a parent, especially close to Christmas. I hope you had a chance to let him know how much he meant to you. Please don't apologize for sharing your life updates, it brings us closer as a community. I hope 2023 will be better for you and for all of us. Like you said, thank god for stitching and our animals. Oh Cat! What an update 😮. I’ve been wondering where you’ve been and checking every few days for your floss tube, then it arrived. I thoroughly enjoyed the WiP parade, was caught off guard by your sad sad news which made me cry, then I was laughing out loud about the dog digging the lawn up and the Tesco delivery! What a rollercoaster of a video. I lost my Dad a few years ago so my heart goes out to you and your family. My stitching and pets keep me sane so I’m sure both do the same for you. Catherine, I am so sorry to hear you have lost your dad. I’m not going to say I know how you feel as we are all different but I lost my dad less than a year ago so my heart goes out to you. I’m glad you managed to distract yourself by sharing your projects, I loved seeing them. I hope you continue to find peace in your stitching. Take care Emily x

Im so sorry for your loss. I know how terribly hard this is. I lost my dad in 2021 and even though we knew it was impending and it wasnt a surprise....you still cant get ready for it. My prayers are with you and your family. And please dont think that you brought us down. At least I dont see it that way. I am glad you have us to talk to even though we cant conversate immediately with you. At least you can read the comments later. Im glad your stitching brings you some comfort. I definitely understand that. I cross stitch, diamond paint, crochet, knit and build 12th scale doll houses. Right now my love is for cross stitch and diamond painting and it definitely helps. Especially during tuff days or the holidays. Be encouraged.

So sorry about your dad, we had similar thing with our Dad of 89 last November, all very traumatic and it helps to talk about it so glad we were all here to listen xxx my heart goes out to you all ,so don't feel bad and if ever you want to talk about it going forward you do that x I still have that need at times and mine is no longer as raw, so big hugx Just found and subscribed to your chanel ,fantastic .

I'm so sorry Cat for your loss. I lost my Dad years ago because of age and he caught phenomena. At the hospital he finally just was asleep 24 hours. But we were with him when he passed. In a way that helped me. But I understand your pain about losing your dad. I love all your stitching and hope it can help you heal. You don't have to apologize for Sasha. I'm a cat person to and we cat people just know. Love and prayers girl.

Thank you for your video. My heartfelt sympathies on the passing of your beloved father. I hope peace for you and yours. Oh my goodness, your dog and cat adventures, how terrible, but I was trying not to laugh. You've had a tough couple of months. And yes, stitching does distract and calm. Oh Catherine, I am so sorry about your dad. I lost my dad a few years ago and he was 87. It is so hard. I will pray for you, your mom, and family that Lord gives you comfort, strength, and healing Throughthis very difficult time. I am always glad to see you and am sorry I didn't watch earlier. Your stitching is lovely and I hope it helps you as mine does for me. It was good to see your babies.

Condolences to you and your family on the passing of your dad...a loss that is so difficult and so near Christmas even more so. I completely understand the concern you have for your mom being on her own, and I so admire how you kept calm and carried on with the unfortunate accidents with your cat and dog ...never a dull moment with animals😉 thank you for sharing your projects and your finishes are fabulous!! I just found you on flosstube and what a gem you are. I’m sorry for the loss of your father. It gets better over time, not easier just better. I’m so sorry about your dad,I really hope 2023 improves for you x my dog caused chaos at my nans and spilt tea all over the carpet,he also dug a hole in her garden and knocked her giant gnome over,I’m not sure he has been completely forgiven yet 😂love all your wips,Poochie has got so big,she is gorgeous x

I should imagine therapy is part of the work package for postman, delivery drivers etc 😂😂 if nothing else it will have given him something to talk about at the supper table !

Yay!!!!! Another video. Woohoo!!!! I'm so sorry for your loss. I know words can not make it any better. I lost my dad 15 years ago this April, they say time heals all wounds but it still cuts deep. Find those happy moments and hang on to them. It helps it really does. ❤

Firstly it's great to see you Cat😀. Great to see your WIP parade. Thirteen finishes is fantastic!. I never finish any lol. I am trying to stick to the two full coverage I started at Christmas and New year plus two more quite big ones.(watch this space lol). Please accept my condolences for the passing of your dad. it's hard at anytime but Christmas for some reason seems worse. He did get to a good age and hopefully didn't suffer. It sounds like your parents have been together a long time and it will be strange for your mum. She may realise that it might be better to move nearer family but then again it is said that a move is quite traumatic. She will let you know when the time comes if it does. Never apologise for showing your feelings. It is early days. Thank goodness we have cross stitch😀. If you ever need to talk let me know. I'm always here. Enjoy the rest of your days off. Here's to 2023 being a better year . Much love x

As a person with a terrible memory, I felt a bond with you as I watched this. Honestly, I always knew what you were talking about. I loved seeing your wips and finishes! Edited to add: I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I send condolences to all of your family. I think sometimes funny or weird things happen in bad situations to help us. Right as my grandmother's wake was about to start, my 8 week old son pooped like a gallon of poop on my sister's skirt. I've never seen anything like it. We were trying to be quiet because so many people were there in their seats and we were up front to the side of the casket where everyone could see us. We tried to go get paper towels from the bathroom, but it was locked! Finally, we just all started laughing uncontrollably. It was such a healing laugh. To this day (my son is now almost 17), I chuckle when I think of it. I somehow think my grandma sent that whole experience to lighten the mood and make us laugh. Maybe someday you can laugh over that story about the dog and the hole and the cushions with your family.

The issue with PK and Long Dogs is that sometimes the overlap for the rows and columns are not the same number of overlap stitches. This happened to me with The New Normal. The fix is to figure out which way had the highest number of overlap stitches. Enter that as the overlap number when loading the pattern. That will give you an extra row or column (depending on which one was the lower number). You then go in and mark that row/column as complete, so you don't accidentally stitch it.

How many finishes omg 😲. How do finish into hanging pieces? Any hints or links to tutorials?

Hi, for all my finishes I've used tutorials on youtube. The main one is Vonna Pfeiffer, the twisted stitcher, she does quite a lot of finishing tutorials. Lindy Stitches also did a good one on how to lace up your finished cross stitch. The Wall hanging tutorials I used were ones posted by Caterpillar cross stitch and one by 'The Flosstube Stitcher' its number 32 creating an easy wall hanging or cushion. I basically used a combo of those. Other than that it's been practice and being willing to accept the fact that none of them are perfect, but are good enough for me!!! Hope that helps. @@catv.stitches5109 thank you for so thorough answer, I am very new to sawing but will do my best. I'm stitching a beautiful patriotic piece for my ex and my children father who is now in army. I want so badly to give him something to protect and cheer up but he definitely won't take a framed cross stitch all around. This flat finishing is just perfect to roll and put to a backpack. Girl give yourself some grace, you have been through very large trauma and I am so very sorry. I wish I could come give you a big hug. I have lost both my parents and I truly can relate to the pain you are feeling. Please take care of yourself and find your zen in stitching, I do that a lot these days!😢🪡🐈‍⬛🐈🦮💐
