I am so excited for your Pride pattern this year. I’ve really enjoyed seeing your progress on it and I’m excited to see the center “reveal”! Those tiny tarot cards are the cutest and look perfect for traveling. I hope that you have safe and happy travels!

♥️♥️ The dualities of our world are just getting more and more divergent. I wish you safe travels and hope your visit fills your heart and soul. Great stitching as always. And I agree that rolling from #marroomymay into #jacobjune makes sense since you are both so prolific that we need specific focus months to work on your pieces (and one month each isn’t enough to stay caught up 😅)

I feel honored to be compared to Jacob but let’s be honest he is the king and no one compares 😝 I only try. Personally I’m planing on Jacob June and Jacob July. That is the only way to catch up with his million and one patterns. Happy stitching 😊

So nice to catch up with you, Maryam and thank you for the reminder that it’s ok to pace ourselves. There will not be a quick and easy solution, but we all must stay engaged 💜 Your progress is amazing! The border matched up! The Bella Filipina is stunning; you can definitely get a finish this year. And I LOVE the Pride piece for this year. My ears perked right up at the Pride and Prejudice retelling 😁 A Workbasket stash video would be so fun! (A WIP parade would be too, of course) Safe travels ✈️

Well thank you for recording a video. It is tough to smile and talk about crafts whilst the horrors continue but as I was saying to my friends, this is a marathon, not a sprint. We need to recharge and find ways to keep going. Crafts is so good for us. I have watched this is bits so I can’t even remember the things I was going to say. 😢 well done on focusing on older WIPs. Such a sense of achievement. I hope you have a lovely time in your month away and come back feeling great and healthy for your retreat. I hope you manage to finish your pride stitch on time. Hi Maryam! I came here to look for recommendations for Flosstubes you'd been watching recently and realized that I hadn't responded to this video! Your Bella piece is a showstopper. Looks fantastic on that green fabric, what a perfect pick! That Workbasket crow looks pretty fun, and i like the shocking pinky orange fabric for that one, too. And of course Daare Leng Daar is a triumph. One of my faves amongst all your critters! I've got a Crow Hill too. Let me know if you start yours and I'll start mine. Thanks foe the book talk, I've got a few to add to my list!

I was also a monogamous stitcher until Jan 1, 2023... now i have some "old" WIPS but nothing like some of the onese that others have LOL. I have branched out a LOT... I love the Bella you are doing. I love that you have worked around the beading as well... I love doing beading myself but because they are often hard to find locally (especially for the mermaids of hte seasons which each have 5 types of beads and at least 3 kreiniks) and perhaps substituting out other metallics might make the completion stitching faster. I wholeheartedly agree -- life is too short for boring dull colours. I need to learn more about how to sub out and match colours, but its starting..

So about color substitutions, check out daybreakstitchery ( Nitya) we recorded a group flosstube and the episode on her channel is about colors. I think the title is the courage to color convert. You may find some of the ideas useful. Happy stitching 😊
