Kim, this is such a great thing to do! You might want to consider doing this even after things open up for all your trunk shows! You are so knowledgeable and I enjoy hearing your stories. I live in Texas and probably would never be able to visit your store, but with these videos, I feel like I have been there. Love having you as a source for my stitching needs.
Thank you so much for the JD Trunk Show! I just love her beautiful designs. I also enjoyed your stories about Holland! I would love to visit there someday. Now I have to order some charts from you!!! Happy stitching, Everyone!! 😊🌺🐝🌸🐇🐞🌼
I really enjoyed this! Thanks Kim! Your shop is my chosen needlework shop ~ I really appreciate your wonderful customer service. I enjoyed listening to your stories, too :)
Thank you for a wonderful trunk show and for sharing the fun, interesting stories and your expertise in the antique sampler world. I enjoyed the video so much. Videos like this make these troublesome times easier to bear. Great job. Hugs (virtual of course) Joanie
Great two videos Kim!! Loved every minute of them. Such beautiful works of art; Jeanette is a master of color and stitches!! Hope you get to stitch some of her designs real soon. Hugs and happy stitching.....................
LOVED seeing this trunk show! What beautiful pieces!! And we appreciate YOU, Kim, your staff and all shops and staff during this time and all you/they are doing to get us through this too!
I loved watching your part one and part two of Jeanettes trunk show! I have stitched a lot of Jeanettes designs and I have a lot kitted up. She is a genius when it comes to color, design and specialty Stitches. I am one of the fortunate ones that lives an hour away from her and have taken some workshops from her. I’ve stitched to date probably two dozen of her designs. Thanks for letting me know about the book. I was not going to purchase that because I have a couple of the Canadian journeys kitted up. You made me realize how good of a resource book that would be
What a great way to do a trunk show. I loved hearing the stories that go with things too which doesn't usually happen. And so many inspirational charts I am a fan of specialty stitches. Even as a kid, I remember when one of us sisters learned a new one, we'd share with the others--after a little bragging, of course. I am thrilled to see this type of stitching become popular again. There are so many to learn and others to love again.
Hi. I heard about you through Nicola Parkman and when I looked you up the first videos that came up were the two with Jeannette’s trunk show. As a Canadian I loved seeing her stitching and hearing you speak about her. And Holland is the place in the world that I’ve always wanted to go! Thank you for sharing your stories about your time in Holland. Loved listening to you! You have a new fan !
Beautiful trunk show! I love your stories about when you lived in Holland. I lived in Frankfurt GE from 98-2000 and loved visiting Amsterdam and taking the canal tours!
I have some funny ones :). I thought I would miss all that traveling, but I don't. Maybe I've finally grown up! Or old and tired... which is also ok :)
Love all these designs. I wish I had a local shop but there isn't one for hundreds of miles so I rely on the online shops. How I would love to walk through one- I'd be broke, but happy.
Enjoyed this so much. I agree with the instructions she gives...I have learned many, many stitches from her work. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos. One other thing about her charts...she includes all sorts of information ... I did "Oh Canada" for my cousin and it was full of information about Canada.
Hi Kim- Thanks for sharing the trunk show. I would never have seen it without your video. I would love to hear about your visits to Germany, and classes with Luzine Hempel. Kate ( Australia)
Thank you for the second part of Jeannettes trunk show. It’s like I’ve been to visit your wonderful store. So pretty. Especially liked the two common thread charts. I’ve been over to visit many times with a dear friend in Virginia so I too love the Blue Ridge mountains you’re very lucky to be living where you are Could I ask if you do mail order to England? . Thank you and please continue to do the trunk show videos.
Hi Glynis! Yes we ship all over the world. We've had our International shipping down for a few weeks due to the pandemic, but will be reopening it later today. I'm glad you enjoyed the video :)
I could look at these a dozen times! So much beautiful artistry! I was fortunate enough to go on a Silver Needle/Jeanette Douglas trip last fall. I bought Jeanette’s book of Canadian samplers and love it. I’m going to start her Patriotic Sampler around Memorial Day. I really love her most recent designs. How difficult is it to change out pincushion covers for the Posey wooden pincushions for the seasons?
I bet if you attached them with velcro on the back or with strong magnets in both pieces it would be a piece of cake. That's a great idea. I'll figure it out and post it!
I really enjoy and appreciate your videos. I like learning about history, stitches and your stories. I taught high school for years and I remember kids learning better when I could adapt the information with a real life story 😊. Also do you keep the Canadian stitching book in stock? Great flosstube 🙂
Kim, thanks so much for sharing all of Jeannette’s lovely designs. I’ve collected a few over the years and now see some more I have to have. Also, love your music choices front and back (what is this? I’d like to have it on my Spotify)!
