Sally I'm so happy to say that I finally got to claw my way up to my sewing room to stitch and catch up with you! I'm so so thrilled that you're happy with the exchange gift I made for you! The best part of all of this is I feel I have a dear new friend across the pond! The beautiful stitching you made me and the gorgeous fabric and goodies are icing on the cake. Sally, finally got to sit down & watch you tonight after our trip across the Irish Sea. I haven't stitched in almost a week & I'm really missing it. Yourself & Sarah are making great progress on the #funfor50sal2024. It's great fun to watch. I have some plans to join in over the next few weeks. I really miss our chickens. We had them when Jon's daughter was in secondary school. She used to tell her favourite, Miss Yellow, everything that happened during her day. Miss Yellow would jump up onto her shoulder & they would go off for a chat. We also got into breeding for awhile which was an adventure in itself. If we could, we'd happily have chickens again. I'm so happy to have finished it. Never again will I stitch something so big on such dark fabric 🤣 I did enjoy it when I got into thr swing of it though and it is so effective. Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️

Thanks for the mention today. I've not started Four Seasons yet, I'm off for a stitchy week away in Suffolk next Sunday with a girlfriend so I'm taking The Mad Hatter Dreams with me as Four Seasons is a bit big to take. Just wanted to say I use those tiny needles too they are great especially on 36 & 40 count. Wow your stitchy kindness from Kathryn was amazing what fantastic gifts to receive 🙂

Enjoyed your video today Sally - thank you! I love your Moonshine Cabin finish - so beautiful! Sorry about the problems with your Barbara Ana piece. I hope you don’t have to frog! These days I always try to fudge before frogging (life’s too short for frogging unless it’s absolutely necessary!). I hope you’ll enjoy stitching on Summer Quaker as much as I am - it’s a gorgeous design!

Oh I have been enjoying your gardening posts! It must be far easier to grow in such a warm climate. We had a sunny day yesterday and it gave me some optimism that better weather is coming our way. Behind on my Flosstube again. Great to catch up today. So glad you're going to be stitching "Light" it might urge me to pull out that long neglected WIP (I think it's going to be four years old in May😬) at least I know I'm not responsible for the enabling - I don't think anyone would feel enabled by my sad little start. So nice to catch up with you. Nice progress on everything. I will be starting Spring Quaker tomorrow after I figure out my fabric for sure. The piece I want to use is a 32 count jobelan. But for a 2 inch margin I need it to be 18 inches tall and my piece is 17.5. It's fine for the width. So have to decide if I'm going to use it and deal with the smaller margin or switch to something else. Have a fun weekend
