Tea, Earl Grey. Hot. . . is a reference to how Captain Jean Luc Picard orders his tea from the computer on the Enterprise. It's a Star Trek reference. ❤
You truly have a giver’s heart! You should not wonder why people gravitate to you or why your channel is growing. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. 1 silk
I am a 76 yr old retired RN, Christian woman, wife of the love of my life for almost 57 yrs, mother of three, grandmother of 6 precious kids, and great grandmother of one sweet little boy…I almost forgot I am a mama to our little fur baby Callie. Watching your most recent floss tube you were speaking about communicating. I love the idea of meeting new people. I joined a stitching group several years ago and it is my “therapy”. We all work on different things…some do knitting, some do crochet, and some do embroidery and cross stitch. We have become so close…we come from all walks of life, but we share our love of making beautiful things. I love your channel and look forward to seeing you more often. Since I take care of my husband who had a stroke almost 4 yrs ago I stay close to home and I am not able to go to retreats, but I love hearing about them. I also quit getting on Facebook about a year ago, but I may have to get on and join your group and several others. Wow…I hope that is not TMI…just wanted to share a little of my little corner of the world. Your work is beautiful and inspiring! Thank you so much. Hope you have a blessed day!❤️😍❤️
You are an absolute delight! So excited to find your channel. I appreciate it that you are willing to take the time to share. Happy Easter! He is Risen!
Alway fun watching....love the quilt pattern 1, 2....thanks for sharing....love the tea comment.....silk is always fun...please take care and be safe...
I can not begin to tell you how much I enjoyed ur floss tube today. Your enthusiasm and love for crafting is inspiring. I’m in rapture with what your lid for the Nantucket basket. Love the basket and the lid. Awesome. Very much enjoyed your comments about communicating. You obviously put a lot of time and thought into ur floss tubes. I greatly appreciate it. I take something away with me every time I watch. Thank you. Joyful Easter 🐇🐥🪡🧵
I am so happy I have found you. I loved your learning videos. I haven’t tried silk yet but I did try how you thread your needle. How great is that! I love your honesty, your voice and your creations. I laughed out loud when you read the sticker telling the mail person how to handle your mail. Our mail people do the same here, jamming the envelopes into the box. And also when a package comes they put it on the side of the house on top of the trash cans! It’s incredible.😂
This was the first time I have watched your Flosstube channel, and I really enjoyed it. You are such an inspiration and delight!! I look forward to watching future episodes and past. 1, silk
You touched my heart when you mentioned how wonderful this season is and what it means to those who are believers. I enjoyed your video and am very thankful that I found you. I look forward to watching every time you have another posted.
Watching this on Easter Sunday afternoon. Wishing you and your family a beautiful Easter Day. Your WIPS are stunning and I love the ort basket. Your Maker’s moment really resonated with me. I didn’t start stitching until I was in my mid sixties. So, I am a bit reserved about sharing my stitch pieces. Your words encouraged me to share and participate more in the groups that I am a member of..
Fabulous video Shellie, so inspiring & kind🥰 your encouragement about communication was helpful can be a scary place to open up…loved your stash enhancement, enjoy 😊 Have a blessed Easter 🙏🏻 wishing you happy stitching always….🤗🌷🌷🌷
Thank you for another great video and for sharing with us. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter! I really enjoy stitching with silk. I'm amazed at all you get accomplished, too. :)
Your “Maker’s Moment” hits home for me. I have always been that person who wants to but is afraid to step forward. Going to a retreat looks like fun but I know I would be uncomfortable. It’s something to work towards though. I enjoyed your video.
Your Moments Maker was like you were talking directly to me. During Covid I had to do many zoom meetings for work but I never would show my face. I like to stay in the background of life and I don't use my voice very often. I sew, quilt, embroidery and cross stitch but I don't show many of my projects as I don't want to be judged. Thanks for your inspiration today. Happy Easter. Silk, 1,2
I too felt the words explaining how I feel. I rarely share because I too feel judged. I love camping in my home and being me, the creator and stitcher. I wish though that I would push myself to meet you all cause am sure you are all like minded and no one will judge
I'm new to cross stitching, and I'm so happy I came across your video. I can't wait to watch more. I just love all the information and seeing projects. Thanks so sharing ❤ Silk , 1 , 2
Such a great video, you are a wealth of knowledge. Never stitched with silk but would live to try. I love the come and learn videos. Great that you were able to get a new boom camera, your pin stitch tutorial was phenomenal!!
Haha, Capt. John Luc Picard - who would have known that a dyer would also be a Star Trek fan! Love it! Now we just need a fabric color called "make it so." Shellie, I would love to learn how to do that heel on your sock....I hate knitting heels and that sounds like a much easier way than having to slide the stitches off onto a separate needle and then come back to do the after-thought heel. You always have the best hauls - thanks for enabling!!!!
Beautiful finishes and of course haul is so wonderful for inspiration….😊. #2. I have stitched with a little silk added here and there, it sure stitches so pretty! Never want to miss one of your floss tubes.
Happy Easter, Sherri! Hoping you and your family have a delightful day. Great video, as usual. :-D I enjoyed your very informative silk presentation! Thank you!
Love the little lid you made for your basket. And your pillow finishes are so pretty. I mostly do smalls but have several larger pieces that I occasionally work on. MO’s silk looks beautiful. Thanks for demonstrating different stitches. Hoping you’ll do more.
Hello Shellie All your flosstubes are lovely! I love the Rabbit and the Rose with floss. Seeing your sweet pin pillow makes me want to stitch it. Thank you for taking time to share everything. I joined your Facebook group and I’m enjoying that, also 🩷 Silk #1 #2 Karen in WV
I love the patterns you got! I’m loving the biblical ones… I’m starting to really get into stitching more of them… I’m just on a limited budget unfortunately :( Thank you for your group! I love how positive it is! 1,2,silk
Hi Shellie👋 I was watching your video and you mentioned someone stitching He Loves Us free pattern by Teresa Kogut on a blue fabric with dark lettering and light flowers and you liked it very much. That was me sharing my Holy Week stitching and finishing of the chart. I loved sharing my project to inspire others as I am inspired by their stitching too! I’m not an extrovert but I believe in sharing to encourage others to try something new, a change of called for linen, thread, or added embellishment to make it uniquely theirs. Your Maker Moments are one of my favorite things in your videos causing me to ponder over the words and take them to heart. Thank you for sharing those words and for the teachings you do to help us as stitchers to be even more successful, such as the one on silk. That was a fascinating teaching and can’t wait to try different silks in the future. I’ve ordered me some waxers to tame my threads after your teaching on the pin stitch 😀 Love all that you share❤️
Easter blessings, Shellie! Looking forward to your next Learn video! I love to learn new things and it’s so fun to stitch while doing it! ❤ I’ve never tried silk and want to give it a whirl! Must see what all the fuss is about. I’m sure I’ll want to stitch with nothing else after trying it! 😊 Love it! 😍
I am going to join our local guild. You have made me do it. I’ve been hesitant but not any more!! Thank you. (PS. I just love your videos! Thanks for sharing!!) silk
Oh Shelly you re a great stitcher but a greater enabler.... I had a cart awaiting the button PAY and I was restraining myself as I got a load of linen from X Judesigns this week.... but seeing your haul... I am saying to myself go for it...press that button. Happy Easter to you Dear
Always love your content friend. What a joy to see all you’ve been up to! I’m trying to be more open but like you said it can be hard to share but lately being with other like minded people has definitely helped me! The silk is just beautiful. I guess I missed where you get yours. Will definitely be looking for hanks!! 🩵 I bought homespun elegance home is where you hang your needlework too. Guess I’ll need to kit it up as well!! Do all the things! I’m dreaming of new linens too. If you can do it don’t apologize for the amount you share. I get so much information of what are good ones to buy when I see what you show! 😍😍🪡🪡 happy stitches friend.
I would love to get # 1 or # 2 quilt patterns. I have never quilted but it’s something I have wanted to learn and do since I was 4 or 5. I have recently started stitching with silks because of you. I have to admit I have really enjoyed using the silks. This has been a great floss tube and I look forward to your next one. Till then happy stitches 😊❤️🪡🌻
Just adore your flosstubes❤your sweet little stitch on your Nantucket Basket is so precious! I ordered Mo silks after watching your last recording and waiting for it to arrive😊 1 2 Silk
Another wonderful floss tube, Shellie. I look forward to meeting you at the Nicola Parkman event in May! I stitched Salute to Abigail a few years ago as my first "sampler," and loved all of your WIPs and finishes you showed this time. By the way, the linen way "Tea Earl Gray Hot" is a reference to Captain Picard of the USS Enterprise in Star Trek: The Next Generation. 1 2 silk (and your silk talk was very interesting and helpful, by the way).
Enjoyed watching your video as I cleaned my kitchen. Would much rather stitch than clean, but some cleaning must be done! 1 , 2 or silk would be lovely. Thanks so much!
