Welcome to my FlossTube Channel! Today I would like to show you my current work in progress and talk about my Love for all the fancy ladies from Mirabilia/Nora Corbett :) Please visit me on IG / . .
So happy to see you here today Silvio, it’s good to make videos to help people watch something fun, many are still staying close to home to be safe. I’m so happy you’re enjoying your Miribilias and Nora’s , I remember when you didn’t want to stitch anything big at all .😂🤣 This is what flosstube does to us all, there are so many beautiful things to stitch and seeing what lovely things others make just sends us to try new things. Your finishes are so pretty, it’s hard to see how gorgeous they are beaded and blinged out until you see them in person, they just don’t look as beautiful in a photo. I’m happy to see you’re safe and the virus hasn’t hit you, my family, friends and myself are fine. We’ve been fortunate that the cases have been quite low in our whole province, they shut down our borders and everything but essential services early, tracked every case, tried to keep people at home unless they were serious enough to need ICU . They even put all the homeless people up in hotels for two months to stop the spread. I’m happy with how they handled it here but my heart breaks for those countries that have been so hard hit. I too feel so sad to see what is happening in the US, for the everyday people who are just being abandoned by their leaders, very sad. I have been staying home mostly, I have been to grocery and a couple of stores for supplies to make masks but my daughter gets most things I need. I have been stitching a bit, finished And a Forest Grew and the Frosty Forest series. Am now working on Flamingo fracteurs for my daughter who loves them. I’ve also been knitting some, sewing a little, just enjoying every day because you just never know. Happy travels, please stay safe and well.🥰🙋🏼
Oh Silvia, I was just ecstatic when I saw that you had posted a new video. I have so missed seeing you. You are such a beautiful caring soul. When I hear your sweet German accent it reminds me of all the wonderful memories I made with my German friends when I lived in Bad Tolz. Oh how I miss those days! I always love love love seeing your stitching projects, big or small! Please keep making your flosstube videos! They are always an inspiration to me. Big hugs from Texas, USA!
Bluebell and Pansy...oh my goodness. Perfection!! Your work is so beautiful. I was glad to see your video pop up today. I have cross stitched for years but feel like a "newbie" because of all the beautiful flosses, patterns, and fabrics...I had destashed a few years ago but you would never know it!!! Stitching has soothed me in these crazy times....I sit under my trees and just enjoy. Flosstube helps us all!
Sylvia So SO happy to see you made a video. I have missed you. Love your beautiful Mirabilia Ladies. They are beautiful. I think you are hooked on them. Please never debate on making a video. I am sure like myself everyone has missed you and your videos. We need something to take our minds off of how this world has changed. Please keep making them when you can. Thank you for this one and sharing your beautiful work. Happy stitching
Silvia, I so much enjoyed your video! A little bit of light hearted stitching talk is so very welcome in these depressing times! I hope you continue to make videos, as I really love seeing your very beautiful stitching!
Thank you so much for your message Debra! Yes, I am well. We're spending the Wintermonth on a Campground in Spain. Somehow it's a bit difficult to record a video in our RV, haven't figured out a good way to record. Sometimes I would like to do it right away, no matter how the surroundings look, not to mention my hair, nails etc. But sorry, I'm a perfectionist - so a video with no make up on is impossible for me 🤷 But maybe, one day I'll come back and share with you all my stitching progress - because I miss you all soooooo much! Thanks again and take good care of yourself! 🤗💖🌷☀️🙋
Enjoyed your video very much, I am in Florida and appreciate your thoughts very much. As a nation we all need to stand together and continue to pray together, we will get through this.
Congrats on your new found obsession! Your finishes are lovely. Don't be intimidated by that large mirabilias. I've stitched both sabrina and portrait of veronica and they really didn't take that long. I remember stitching veronica in three months but that was my only project at the time. Please keep making videos. We all need some joy in dark times and I think for some, that joy is stitching and sharing it with others.
I'm happy to see you are doing well. i understood everything you were expressing! A break is what we need from time to time to keep our sanity. Your Nora Corbett pieces are beautiful!! I have a couple of her patterns too. Your act of bravery to start and complete your pieces is an inspiration to me to start on mine!!! Hope to see more of you soon. THANK YOU!!!
Thank you so much for your visit!! Yes, you should definitely try a Nora Corbett piece, Patience and Practice - that's all :0) Stay safe, love and hugs 💖🤗
I am so very happy to see you!! Your projects are absolutely gorgeous!! Your work is spectacular!! Yes, things are very hard here. There are many many false stories around . I cannot believe this is my America. Take care of yourself and pray for America and it’s people as I pray for you!!
I admire you for purchasing the patterns you want to stitch and encourage you to try every one that you think you would be interested in at all...you might be surprised. I have stitched over 30 years but never stitched a Nora Corbett; I really want to do one and after watching your video today...I think I will just jump in and decide on one to start. Now...just to decide on one! Good luck and keep up the good work!!
You have caught the Mirabilia disease. There is no known cure. I have been stitching the Mirabilia pixies twice. Once as listed on the chart and then again super small 1/1 on 28 count. I love the way the fairies look so tiny. Thank you for sharing your love
Hello Sylvia, it is good to see you again. You introduced me to Christiana Dahlbeck over the years in your videos and I fell in love with her work, I have only ever bought one of her books and I had it shipped from overseas to Australia. I was always just looking at the pictures and I thought I would never be able to do one. But I always had one in mind and it was in one of the books, it showed it was framed in a lovely wooden picture frame, and i thought I would also like to get a nice wooden frame and paint it white and have it on my wall. But I kept putting it off because I didnt think I could do it. I didnt really like doing crosstitch, it was hard. But you had kept me interested and i thought I would try. During these difficult times I had to Isolate in Adelaide, Australia because i had to return my son to University, so I had packed in My Christiana Dahlbeck book, all the threads I would need, and more, incase i ran out, a good lamp, a microscope, and new needles, a friend gave me some 40ct fabric, and whatever else I needed, and I finally got started, it was so enjoyable, but also hard going, everyday i could stitch it and it made the hours of isolation go quickly, i learnt as i kept stitching, and I never thought I would finish it, but I kept going and I actually finished it, loved it, am in love with it xx I survived the lock down and came home safe, my boy safe in "Adelaide, back to University and came home with a finished Christiana Dahlbeck piece of a heart shape with acorns from the winter book. I thank you for telling me about your love for this designer. I am happy now and now I have also finished the lovely Deers in this book, a baby deer and her mummy. just about to do a frame for them too. Thankyou ... and I love watching your videos. I love now that you love Nora Corbett, who would have thought hey. welll done, I understand you.. Debbie
Thank you so much for your visit Debbie! I am so happy that you've tried out a Dahlbeck-Design and more than happy that you liked it. Sometimes it takes patience and practice, but I'm sure there will be more xxx done by you as you move on to more of her designs :o) Stay safe, love and hugs 💖🤗
@@beckisland3751 I have receive my new Christiana Dahlbeck book today, I am so excited to get started, there are lots of Bunnies in it, I am now looking to find a good Chart to Convert the threads to DMC. I also have a German Elfenwald Cross Stitch book, so I am learning to change German words to English. and also to change the threads to DMC. xxx Keep your videos going whenever you feel like it, I enjoy them. xx
Hi sweet lady! It’s so good to see your smiling face. Yes, it is good to see your videos, please continue to make them. Your ladies are gorgeous and it was so fun to see how excited you are about them. Don’t watch too much news and stay safe!
Hope you are feeling better. It's so good to see you. And I always love to see what you've been stitching. I like to get a bunch of projects all ready to stitch too. I probably have at least 30 waiting to get started. Things will get better. Please keep making videos. I look forward to them. From Michigan, USA.
Hi Sylvia, I am always glad to see you and your stitching. I always worry about your eyesight and hope it’s doing well. I like you always think I am going to stitch in the evening but after supper is over and the dishes are done I am not motivated to do it. My husband and I have been married 60 years so I am ready to rest in the evening. See you soon, Vickie
Thank you so much for your kind words !! ... and thanks for telling me a little bit about yourself :) My eyesight is at a point where it doesn't get any better, not much eyesight left - .... but, it didn't get worse, and that's a good thing! Let's hope, it stays that way. Sometimes it's hard for me to see those teeny tiny stitches 😒 and I have to give not only me but also my eyes a rest 🤷♀️😏 Stay safe, love and hugs 💖🤗
Great to see you again! I remember when you first started Prancer and how unsure you were with beads and Kreinik but look at you now. I thought about you when I found this other Stitcher in Germany and her flosstube is “Running with Needles & Scissors”. Her name is also Sylvia. Maybe you’ve watched her already. If not give it a try. She’s American but her husband is stationed in Germany. She lives close to the Zweigart outlet. If you feel like making a video, just do it- you bring a lot of sunshine and sometimes that’s what everyone needs. Be well and take care until your next video...
Hello Silvia. How nice to see you again. Are you really the same person who said she could only stitch small designs for pillows? Mirabilia on 40count! You should be very proud of your stitching. It is a joy to see it. However awful things can be there should always be time to appreciate something beautiful and to send a warm message to your friends. So thank you very much for your video. I hope you will feel able to keep on filming. Best wishes from the UK, Liz
Love your videos and love you. Stitching brings us happiness during times like this. Sharing your love for stitching makes me happy. We will get through this time, we will persevere. Stay safe, keep stitching, keep sharing.
Oh my goodness! Just GORGEOUS! I just finished my first cross stitch “kit” and want to take on a bigger, more serious project. I am completely in love with the Mirabilia ladies but have no idea what type of fabric to use for portrait quality. Also, are they still available? I would love to do “Summer Queen.” Are they difficult?
Thank you so much for your visit! As I mentioned in my vidos, I never wanted to stitch a Mira/Nora design. I think, they are a bit difficult to stitch, they are larger than the pieces I normaly stitch and I don't like it when a pattern has a lot of colorchanges - well sort of. But than I started "Prancer" - my first ever Nora Corbett piece, and I fell in LOVE. It isn't that difficult to stitch, with a little patience it'll be done eventually :o). I have stitched "Prancer" on Wichelt linen als well as my new start "Raven". It's a little bit stiff, but I think it works very well for Mira's or Nora's. That's just my experience :) Just try it, you will see if you like it :)
Silvia, it was so good to see all your beautiful stitching. We love to see you and all that you are working on. I hope you will do another floss tube to show your FFOs. We in the U.S. appreciate your kind words. Beth @ems1852
You came to my mind several times lately. I hope your travels are still enjoyable and that you are having good health and happiness. Sending good thoughts your way today.
God brought you to mind today. I pray He is protecting and guiding you and your husband. I know so much here and there and everywhere is in turmoil but He is still in control. Are you still traveling in your motor home vehicle because I heard Germany has been hit hard with gasoline shortages. America's gasoline prices have decreased some but it will be temporary. We all need to pray for one another. God Bless You and I hope you create a short video soon to let us know how you're doing.
I know this is an older video, but just want to say, I love this. The way you absolutely gush over the patterns, just, omgoodness, your happiness in these patterns, just makes my heart sing. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much for your visit and your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Have a merry Holiday Season, please take care of yourself, be well and stay safe! 💖🤗
What a wonderful surprise to see a video from you!! I was thrilled to see you and how your face lit up when you talked about your new found love of Mirabilia and Nora Corbet. It really brought great joy to me to listen to you and to see how happy you are when you show your projects and the new patterns. I have to say that I have seen a lot of growth in you and your stitching; it is so good that you have expanded your knowledge and your stitching experiences and that it is making you so happy. All of your finishes and WIPs are absolutely gorgeous and it is wonderful that you have made them your own and you have gained confidence through this. I am so glad that you made the video as it did brighten my day. For me, I have quite watching television completely for about two years now as it is so depressing and so many lies are told. I have found it to be better for me to stick with my stitching and watching FT; they all make me happy. I wish you much happiness in your stitching and doing some new projects too. Hugs and happy stitching to you, my friend..............P.S. Your thread keepers are so pretty; beautiful sparkle and made with love.
It is sooo good to hear from you! I think of you often and wondered how you where doing. I so glad, that everything seems to be fine with you ! :-) Yes, I've expanded a little bit and just enjoy my new stitching adventures :) Hope to talk to you again soon, happy stitching to you too! Please be always well and safe, hugs to you 💖🤗
Dear Silvia....where are you.... I love your work.....your smalls are an amazing. After years of doing big projects it is so much fun to let my creative flair run wild. You have been my inspiration A thousand thank yous An Australian fan 💖

Sylvia you are so sweet! I see you on Instagram but if you ever feel up to it I’m sure everyone would love to see you again here! Take care and hope you are well!
We feel the same about America and appreciate your concern, please please pray for America. We are really scared and worried over here. And please keep making your beautiful videos it gives us an opportunity to escape from all the chaos the radicals are creating here. Most Americans are preparing for more trouble ahead, we will fight back at the right time, Freedom is never Free. So please pray.
Thank you so much for your concern about us over here. It is a very frightful time and being alone makes it harder to go through for me. Recently I went to check out when you last had a video and I was hoping you would have one soon and there you are! Please don't ever wonder about a video from you because you are such a wonderful lady and we always want to see your beautiful work! We always get good vibes and tips from our stitching friends as well as a smile or two! Come back and visit again soon.
I am giggling as I watch this because I remember when you were afraid you could never complete Prancer....and now you are addicted to Mirabilia😆😆😆. All the pieces that you showed are beautiful-enjoy stitching and worry about fully finishing later! I hope you are well and was so happy to see your video💗
Thank you so much for your visit Nicole! I think of you so very often, but somehow, time is flying and I'm not always able to stay in touch :( I'll try to better myself.🤔😂 Stay safe, love and hugs 💖🤗
So nice to see you. Your work is always beautiful. Your kind words about the virus situation are welcome. It’s ok to say nothing at all if that is what you feel the most comfortable with, though. I think most of us know we are all in this together and sometimes we are happy just to escape into our hobby. Can’t wait to see another Mirabilia finish. Pam
Hello Sylvia! Its so good to see you. Yes, I needed to see your bright and cheery smile today. I LOVE your finished Fairies. I have the bluebell chart and I will stitch her one day! Have a wonderful week & Stitch on!
So, Happy Your Back...😃😃😃....Sabrina would be the one I would start...Amazing....Nora Corbrett is now your "thing" ....it is ok...this year about what you like...take care and be safe....So, Happy to see everything...you have stitching so much....Making all of us in Tennessee Happy to have you back...
Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching with us! I’m not a Miribilia stitcher but I love seeing others’ stitching! Thank you also for caring about America! Please pray for our president. So glad you came back for another video. I live with chronic pain and can only imagine how hard it is for you to make videos, but I use flosstube to help me get through my day. We were supposed to travel with a group down the Danube River and visit Hungary and Germany. Fortunately the trip has been rescheduled to December 2021! Can’t wait to see that part of the world. 🌎 🗺 ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸😊🙏🏻
It's ok to cry, I've done a lot of it myself..but God will see us through this..you're such a sweet lady & I've missed you..i love your beautiful Mirrabila’s, they are AWESOME ❤️ please keep in touch, God bless you & thank you for caring ❤️🇺🇸
Hello sweet Silvia, always a pleasure watching your videos. Your "ladies" are beautiful! Where would we be without our stitching? Thank you for your kind heartfelt words for America. Safe travels, keep stitching, buying charts and doing what you love 💟💟💟
So glad to see you again! I also love mirabilia, I've stitched many myself: Fairy Flora, Garden Muses, one of her Indians, an alphabet, more, and currently Pond Lily. I share your excitement. And thanks for your comments on America, some things happening here are shameful, hugs are well received. I hope our planet gets better. Hugs to you too. I really enjoy your videos and wish you make more.
What a lovely video. You should make your videos I enjoy it so much especially in this time 💐. Stitch all your fancy ladies. Those that you did are beautiful. Watch Lisa Kindred stitcher she did both the snow queen and Sabrina. Stay safe 🙏 Love and hugs from a cold Cape Town in South Africa 🌍 ❤️❤️
I really missed you and I'm glad I noticed your new video today. You sound so happy with your discovery of the Mirabilia/Nora Corbett designs. As usual, your work is beautiful. I also liked all of your Thread drops with the pretty jewels that you've made. Will look forward to seeing you again soon. Stay healthy and keep stitching.
Thank you for doing your video. Love all of your finishes and wip's . I also love Miribilia and Nora Corbit. You will love Red when she's finished. More beautiful than the picture. Looking forward to seeing your next video.
First time I have watched your video. I was on Instagram and saw your finished Nora Corbett, which drew me to you. Since March I have been doing Nora Corbett and finished 4 of them and almost finished my 5th one. So addicting! Your work is just beautiful!
So nice to see you again.Seems you tube no longer notifies me when new videos are up.I just happened to be searching for someone else and found you again. That made me happy.Certainly surprised to see you stitching Mira's,they are beautiful though. So glad you are back.
Thank you so much. Your videos are a bright spot. It seems I'm watching more flosstube than anything else. It is good to see you again and your stitching is lovely. I'm not sure my eyes could handle 40 count but it looks beautiful. Take care of yourself. We will get through this.. in the meantime..stitch! 💕
Thank you so much for your visit and your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It took awhile for me to try out 40ct, but now I'm loving it and I'm very comfortable stitching it - with magnification of course :-) Sending you my best wishes for a wonderful and merry Christmas, please take good care of yourself, be well and stay safe! 💖🤗
Lovely to see you again. I'm glad you decided to come back. I hope you're feeling better. Life can be difficult, and this situation does not help. I loved seeing your beautiful Mirabilias. Take care of yourself. ❤️
It is wonderful to see you again!! Yes it is appropriate to do floss tubes! And we love seeing you. You have far surpassed me working on those lovely ladies. I love your new one, so lovely. Audrey Hepburn was my favorite actress too! They don’t come like her anymore do they? Keep on making the podcasts. I missed you! God bless you Sylvia!
Dearest Silvia, I almost cried with joy to see your lovely face! Please don't ever think that making a Flosstube video is wrong. We need our stitching friends more than ever during this pandemic and I would be lost without Flosstube. Your Mirabilia pieces are stunning and you make me want to try one! Please make another video when you feel like doing so and know that your stitching friends love you. Please take care of yourself. I am sending you a big hug 😘
I can't tell you how surprised and delighted I was to see that you posted a new video! You have no idea how much you've been missed. I can't believe you went from stitching only smalls to Mirabelias! But isn't it wonderful to stretch our wings and find something new to get excited about, especially in these uncertain times. I would be totally lost without this Floss Tube and Instagram community, so please keep posting videos, showing your beautiful stitching and sharing your life with us. Your sentiment at the end of your video about how much you love America was so touching and sincere. I have a hard time recognizing the country I love so much during these times. So yes, please keep making videos, any bright spot in the day is so welcome. I look forward to another video from you whenever you're able to film it. Happy stitching!
Hello, I have so many things to say to you after watching your video. First of all I am so happy to see you, I have missed you so much! I loved seeing your gorgeous finished Mirabilia and Norah Corbett pieces, such beautiful stitching. When you were speaking about your new patterns and your new addiction and never enough time it is exactly the same feelings I have about stitching. It’s frustrating to love something so much and not be able to accomplish everything we want to do but then I realized how very fortunate we are to have something that brings us so much joy. At the end when you so genuinely expressed your sadness about America it truly touched me. I do believe we will come out of this dark time, we are all only here for such a short time and all humanity should not waste a single moment of precious life on anger, bigotry or division. I’ve never met you but I wanted to reach through the screen and hug you. You are a beautiful sweet lady, thanks for the video. Please stay well.❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so so much for your most kind word - I'm touched! I hope, we all will come out of this terrible situation(s) and see the light one day! Thanks again, please take good care and stay well! Hugs, 🤗💖
It was wonderful seeing you. It has been so long. You have really done some beautiful stitching. Just like you, I worry about America and pray for it's healing. You take care of yourself and please come back soon I love you dearly.
I love how passionate you are about cross stitch. The first Mirabilia I stitched caused me to totally be addicted to all of Nora Corbett designs. I’ll be watching for your updates! Thanks for sharing ❤️
Such a delight you are,and loving all the pretty projects you have been working on. I,m So happy you did a video,we really love to hear from the cross stitch community, especially now. It's what keeps us going and brings such joy in our hearts.
Hi my dear, greetings from the Shetland Isles. I really enjoyed your video! I had not seen your videos before. Your stitching work is beautiful and I would love to see more. Also, your gentle voice was just what I needed as I had stitched a bit on a new start but had miscounted some stitches so had to undo the whole lot!! I am a new stitcher so I'm still finding my way and I'm not sure what my favourite style will be yet but I am very interested in the old American samplers. Please keep going with the stitching and the videos. I'm going to press the 'subscribe' button and hope I see you again soon.
Thank you so much for your visit and your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm a selftaught stitcher and at the beginning I wasn't sure what "style" I like. Over the past 10 years of stitching I have tried out different things, but mostly stitched smalls. Thanks to FlossTube 😉 I was introduced to Mira/Nora Corbett designs and now that I've stitched one or two, I'm hooked :) You see, it's a journey and I'm so happy we all are on the same road 🙂 Be well and stay safe, love and hugs 💖🤗
So very happy to see you post another video Sylvia! You have been on my mind for the past few days and then, boom, a new video! I admire Mirabilia and Nora Corbett designs, but don't stitch them myself. As for all the trouble in America, I hope as soon as the election is over, everything will calm down. I try to not watch very much because it's so sad, but today we have a lovely video from sweet Sylvia to brighten out day!
It's so nice to see you back and that you are well. You remind me very much of my German friend . I have German family in Wurtzberg and hope I can visit them next year. Keep safe Sylvia hugs Anne in the UK
It was so nice to see you again! I think cross stitch has been very good for people's mental health, so seeing your beautiful projects is always appropriate. I appreciate the kind thoughts you have for this country; we haven't done as well as many places and all good wishes are certainly welcome, I think. Thank you for brightening my day and I hope we get to see more from you.
Your stitching is just absolutely exquisite! I have a couple of the Mirabilia patterns and you are inspiring me to bring them out to see if I should put them in my rotation. You are such a wonderful and calming lady to watch and listen to. Thank you for sharing your joy of stitching!
oh, it was so lovely to see a video from you. In these crazy uncertain times it is good to have some positive distractions. Your stitching is so beautiful. Don't ever feel you shouldn't do a video, you are a very special person and we all love to hear from you! Be well !!
You have nothing to apologise for. It’s great to see you back and doing well. I think we all miss our Flosstuber when we don’t see them these days and then we start thinking has something happen to them. So please to see you have over come your battles with the Mirabilia’s they are stunning.
Thank you so much for your concern about us over here. It is a very frightful time and being alone makes it harder to go through for me. Recently I went to check out when you last had a video and I was hoping you would have one soon and there you are! Please don't ever wander about a video from you because you are such a wonderful lady and we always want to see your beautiful work! We always get good vibes and tips from our stitching friends as well as a smile or two! Come back and visit again soon.
Dear Sylvia, it is so good to see you again and hear you talk about your stitiching. We all need a break and a distraction from all the sad things going on in our country and around the world, so thank you for sharing. Thank you for your kind words and letting us know that you're thinking of us. It is heartbreaking to say the least, but I hope and pray better days are ahead for us. You take care of yourself too. There is much sadness in the world and we all need to help each other keep our spirits up. You brightened my day!
God brought you to mind again. Hope all is well in your part of the world. Thank you for keeping your videos up. I like to watch them from time to time and remember the "good old days" waiting for my favorite Flosstubers to post a video. I found a supplier in the USA for Christiane Dahlbeck designs and bought a few. Take care of yourself and your husband. God Bless
Thank you so much for your kind words! I appreciate your visit very much! Unfortunately, it's not possible right now to come back to FlossTube, maybe some day I'll figure out a way to record a new video. Other than that, everything is fine with me (and family), hope the same for you! Thanks again, be safe and take care ❤️❤️❤️
@@beckisland3751 It's just good to know that you and your family are doing well. I know many would like to know because you were a favorite among many. Thank you for leaving your videos up. I still watch one now and then reminding me of the good ol' days before Covid and all the other craziness going on all over the world. God Bless.
