Loved your video! This is my first visit here. I'm just getting back to cross stitching after a very long hiatus. At 71 years old I never thought I would be starting over but cross stitching is a lot more fun now!! Right now I'm working on the Little House Needleworks collection Hometown Holiday making it a whole long street of buildings. It is so much fun. I also finished Fall on the Farm by LHN as one collection and framed it. I like your idea of doing a half stitch as an outline and going back to fill in. I love learning from these flosstubes as I'm self taught. Looking forward to going back and binge watching your previous videos.

Hi Beth - and welcome! I'm glad you found me. There are so many of us who have come back to stitching after years of not doing it, just like you. You're right - things are so fun in the cross stitching world nowadays! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Excellent video Sheri!! 🤩 Framed pieces … truly inspiring. After my Mom passed in October of 2018 & my Stepdad in 2019 I found my collection of charts growing dramatically till I realized that’s how I was handling my grief. I now have my own on-line in house shop 😉 Thanks for always sharing from the heart ♥️ see ya next time happy stitching 🤗🪡

Oliver laying in your arms reminds me of my cat, Binx. He’s super lovey and mellow also. Poor Oliver must have been terrified! I’m glad that you’re feeling better! Seeing all of your finishes was just so much fun! And it made me pull my “This is the day” back out to work on! I’m making it a goal to get that finished this year. Collections is kind of a hard one, I’m not sure that I fall into a particular category. I like to do a lot of seasonal stitching. I will say I have a good collection of Stitching the housewives patterns and I’m starting to collect more Teresa Kogut’s patterns. I love love love your word of the year pillows I think I’m going to join you in that. I usually pray about mine and go with what the Lord is leading me towards what He’s trying to remind me so this year my word is hope. The world is so crazy these days that I feel the remainder of keeping my hope in Him. Hope you have a blessed week!

So happy to see you on You Tube showing us your cross-stitch projects. I also love your framed beveled glass picture on the wall above your credenza in the background. I love to do cross stitch patterns, but I used to do stained glass and beveled glass projects. I love to create and make things. I give most of my cross-stitch projects to people for gifts. I love the little CREATE cross stitch pillow you showed. I'm going to have to find that pattern and stitch it. Your you tube channel is such a joy to watch, Love your kitty too. Sorry he got his tail caught in your office chair. Hope he wasn't too traumatized. I had a little dog that got his id tag caught in a floor vent. Poor little guy was terrified until I could get his collar off and free him. I am so glad I was home. So now I don't leave a collar on my pets when I'm away from home. I loved to see you cuddle your kitty. Lucky cat to have you for him to love.
@ColoradoCrossStitcher
@ColoradoCrossStitcher Год назад
Oh my gosh - same thing happened to our dog years ago! She loved to lay on the vents when the air conditioning was running. One day we heard her yelping and howling, and she had pulled the whole vent up in her panic (and then panicked that something was hanging from her collar.) She was wary of vents after that. 😅

Finally....I was going through withdrawals waiting on your first video of 2023. In fact, I spent a good bit of time in the last two weeks binge watching all your previous videos. Loved them and helped me with my much needed Sheri fix. Having just returned in 2022 to the world of cross-stitching after a long lapse (80s/90s avid stitcher), I am amazed and inspired in seeing the way stitching has revolved. The samplers are beautiful and a part of my 2023 goals. However, Blackbird Designs seems to have become a growing collection for me. I am excited to see what this year holds in my stitching world...Book of Days, of course adds to the fun. Thank you so very much for your ideas, inspiration and the sharing of your amazing talent. God bless....

Do I have a collection? DO I!!! A LARGE collection of patterns, flosses and fabrics LOL. I do have a folder of Stitchy project patterns but also folders for all holidays and seasons, Blackbird, etc. So I guess, yes I do. I will be doing a pattern from my Stitchy collection for February Winter Camp. I seem to 'collect' a lot of things, but when we moved from MO to AZ 8 years ago, I had to part with 90% of it. I've started rebuilding or new ones since then. Those little wooden 'cabinets' or drawers for Stitching, some 7x4, some 4x9, lots of different sizes with different # of drawers in them. They most all have paintings of a tomato or spool, etc. Some say, Scissors, thread, thimble, buttons, etc. Some have a spool holder sticking up on the top. You can find them on Ebay but they can get pricey.

I've only lived here for eight years and love the Loopy Ewe but don't do much knitting so didn't frequent it, although I took a few classes. Somehow in the kerfuffle of the past few years I missed the news of your store. I plan to visit it soon and also join the Winter Camp. I think the most prevalent designer in my pattern collection currently is Claudia from Dutch Treat. I fell in love with her table toppers when I lived in California. But I'll have to find something smaller for my camp project...probably a non-Christmas holiday project.

Your Quaker Dwelling framed finish is stunning! I love everything about it. What a scary thing that happened to your precious kitty, yikes! So sorry to hear that. For a collection, I guess I have several. I love the look of one over one, so I have collected a lot of charts that are charted with that in mind.

Really enjoyed your youtube video lastnight ,as i usually do..I never post as i usually watch on my tv..I was just on my computer looking at other videos and decided to let you know how much i appreciate your videos as well. As for collections i used to collect cows and bunnies,and still have quite a few of both,but have given up collecting,due to my age,in fact i'm slowly getting rid of stuff,so my son's won't have so much to deal with when the time comes.No that won't be anytime soon as i am in good health,but i'll be 85 in march,so time to start thinking ahead..Anyway,just wanted to tell you how much i enjoy watching your videos.Love all those little smalls.

I am a newer stitcher, so I do not have a very large collection of anything. I have noticed, however, that every single thing I have stitched has a bird on it! So, if I were to label myself, it would definitely be a bird collection. Great podcast!

Hi Sheri! Thank you so much for another terrific video! Your A JOYOUS CHRISTMAS turned out perfectly, and I’m glad you finished it in time so that you could enjoy it for Christmas! I loved seeing all of the amazing pieces you so beautifully framed! Your HAPPY HEARTS SAMPLER is amazing! You showed so many stunning pieces, and it was hard to pick a favorite, although I think your stunning QUAKER CHRISTMAS II has to be mine! (Hearing you say that my sampler inspired you was very special & made my day! ) You stitched, framed & finished so many wonderful stitches in 2022! Thank you for sharing & inspiring, as always! Good video! I always use glass in my framed pieces. Know why? Because a couple years ago I went through and cleaned, repaired, and reframed over 50 projects that my sister and I stitched in the 70's, 80's, and 90s that we had not put behind glass at the time. Let me assure you, time was not kind. We have no smokers whatsoever and very few pieces were in our kitchens. But, there were stains from unknown origins and dust eventually stains. Believe me I will never frame anything without glass again! I love seeing your beautiful works and hearing your advice! Oh, and one of my favorite Xmas gifts was that sticker book you talk about! I have many a collection in the area of stitching. I love JBW Designs, Prairie Schooler, but also ancient ones from old magazines that I hunt all over. I stitch a very eclectic array. I love Lindy Stitches too!

Poor Oliver (and poor you!)! He must have been so frightened. A friend of mine brought a ferret to work and its leash got tangled in the chair bottom and really restricted him. He fought like a wildcat when we were trying to free him. It was scary. Your Oh Joyous Christmas piece is beautiful! I'm so glad you were able to get a copy of that pattern. Your framing pieces were beautiful. I was shocked when you said you framed so many in such a short period of time! I never do any ffo-ing (major procrastinator) and now my pile of finishes is approaching "daunting" 😂. The Christmas Quaker II piece and the Tetelestai pieces came out beautifully. I have Tetelestai too, and was going to try to correct that one wonky side, but I think it will take too much work. I don't mind stitching reproduction samplers with the girls' mistakes in it, so I will keep this little stitcher's too😊 You chose such a meaningful frame for it...just lovely. As for a stitching collection, I tend to do series (or parts of series). This year I'm working on the monthly Quaker series by From the Heart Needleart, monthly Nine Patch by Primrose Cottage, and The Four Seasons (4 girls) by Barbara Ana (through Nitka). Be well!
