Flosstube #64 - This is Halloween 

I fall in love with your floss tube more and more . It always brings a smile to my face . As you know I live in New Zealand just been thru autumn and now in spring but still getting snow . My maple tree is just in bloom and getting darker and darker red . I hope you have an enjoyable night giving and receiving kindness …… we certainly need it atm . ❤

I loved the stitch piece you did for your neighbor. That little ‘duck’ was darling. Cannot believe it had that many colors. Autumn here is a very special time for us. Get to collect acorns and put them in a pot for the deer. Helps to keep them from eating my flowers. You make me smile so many times during your videos. I also love Halloween. I always have. But the last number of years, we don't get any trick or treaters (other than the grandkids). Just not the same anymore. I got such a shock when you announced my name as a receipient of the beautiful cross stitch pattern. I hardly ever win anything (once every 10 years or so. lol!). I am so inspired by your ornaments. They are beautiful! I am also stitching Spirits of the Dead. I wish I had thought to change the colors of the urns and flowers. Maybe I could do that for the lettering??? My black floss has some purple (very subtle) in it. Maybe a really, really deep purple? I'm going to have to give that some thought. I just love Sleepy Hollow but I also don't love the verse. I am interested to see what you are going to replace it with. I thinking about a quote from the book, but it would have to be short and something I could graph myself. Every few years, we have snow for Halloween. What is cool about these years is that all of the colors and lights reflect off the snow and make everything kind of eerie and surreal. I hope you have a wonderful couple of weeks!

Autumn is my favorite time of year. I'm a cooler weather person.Rockwell is one of my favorite artists. I have a couple of his designs in cross stitch. Hope you get lots of trick or treaters!

Hi Chris! When I was growing up in South Georgia, my grandmother made tiny little orange flavored cupcakes too. She used a basic yellow cake batter and added orange extract, and then used frozen orange juice concentrate and fresh orange zest to make a glaze over the top. She called them Orange Blossoms and I could eat them until they came out of my ears. And she never made them in the Autumn.

Here in Illinois today we have snow in autumn! I love you Chris. Keep it up. PEACE.

My little Halloween memory. We had a scary neighbor, at least we thought. My best little friend decided we should go to their house as the light was on (signal to come). I was scared, she was definitely not🤪. Turned out they were lovely, Mom in wheelchair, son taking care of Mom, and the best goodies we had ever received. We made friends, often visited. He raised chinchillas and didn’t encourage people to stop by (we got to touch them and if you ever touched one you never forget). But Mom was lonely and so he opened the door on Halloween. My family moved not long after, but every Halloween I think of them. Love your stitching. Can’t wait to see what early winter brings (we just our first snowfall❄️ ). 🕊

I too and from the ERA of folks making Halloween treats. One that always comes to mind is a lady Ms. King always made popcorn balls. What a treat! Hope you had lots of spooks, Chris❤

Hey Chris, great flosstube! I grew up in a neighborhood of rowhouses and we covered 3 streets! The trick or treating was always good with so many houses but there was on house off by itself that always had owners who dressed up and when we went to the door they answered in such way that it scared the bejesus out of us! Needless to say it was the most popular house in the neighborhood! Hope your Halloween was fantastic! Happy stitching! Autumn

Happy Halloween! I used to live in an area with lots of kids that came to the door. We would make 250+ bags of candy/chocolate and we'd run out every year. I even tried 300 bags the last year I was there...and ran out! Now we don't live in an area conducive to trick or treating as the houses are far apart. The kids go to town and get their candy at the houses that are closer together. Love the ducky! Your neighbour will love it! Take care!

Chris I have been MIA from your channel for too long and I can’t imagine what possessed me to do so! I took a short hiatus from watching Flosstubers in general ( I was getting too drawn into the buying of charts and fabric 😍 all the beautiful things from all the talented neighbors!) but I can’t fathom why your channel wasn’t one of the first ones I went back to when I started back up!
