Your stitching is beautiful!!! Love seeing the progress on 100 owls, your different stitches in the bodies and faces is just gorgeous, wow!!!! You should be really proud of that 😍 I personally would absolutely love love love if you and Samantha did a video on getting a Mira started; I've been stitching for over year now but have not yet attempted a Mira. Oh wow the embroidery looks so good on the owl! Great job! I've never thought about doing that, but so clever!! I just can't get enough of the TW dragon on the red. It's looking amazing! Excited for your bday Mira :)

Your finish looks great! And I love your owls. I would be very interested in a Mira video. I have several patterns, but they just seem intimidating to me. I make up all sorts of excuses not to start them, but I should probably just dive in.

Congratulations on your big finish. I know that feels good! I love all your WIPs, especially the owls. I was intrigued when you did something similar with your Wizard of Oz piece. I would love for you and Samantha to do a joint Mirabilia, et al, video. I collected the patterns for decades, but have never stitched one. (insert shameface) My mother stitched tons of MLI and NC patterns, tho, and I inherited some of them, which is special. Really like the pattern you chose to start this month (Happy Birthday!). My eye keeps going to that rabbit.

You are doing a beautiful job with the owls. I did the wizard of Oz last year with DMC threads and was disappointed by the result. It looked so plain compared to some pictures I had seen ! I realized too late that Owlforest designs, although beautiful, are rather basic. To enjoy doing them and make them unique, you have to let loose pour fantasy : use special threads and other stitches... Otherwise, one soon gets tired of stitching owls 😊

Perfect! The Mira video is in the works 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 As for the owls it’s all free hand, think of a paint by number where I’m working in the same outlined area as cross stitches are specified but I’m painting with thread with colors as I please. Variegated floss makes this really fun! Thanks for stopping by this am :)

I have done some canvas work and I really enjoy the different stitches. I find them to be much easier than you anticipate them to be, especially with good step by step instructions :) What about you??

@@FibersandFlossCanada oh wow, I hope to see your start on Holland in springtime soon😍. I live in Holland and love the tulips, mill, sailing boat and all the colours in the pattern. I just discovered the patterns and I am still a little overwhelmed by all the special stitches. I think I want to start a smaller one first, but I don’t like them as much as the one you have chosen😄. Maybe it’s the best way to practice a little with the step by step instructions which I can probably find on the internet. Thank you for your kind answer. Have a nice weekend and happy stitching.😘

@@sophiadejonge4878 yes me too! I’ve been kitting it up and can’t wait to start it! We have family in Maastricht and I love it there so much! The way of life is so much nicer than North America. For learning specialty stitches, you should check out Jeanette Douglas patterns. They are smaller and offer a variety of stitches if you want to get comfortable with stitching something different. Honestly every pattern will have a few new stitches to learn. Or dive into a chatelaine and take it one step at a time :)

They are also available in two shops here in the Netherlands, so I might check that in our summer holiday❤🥳. I can see your progress on the chatelaine first and will dive into it myself another time. Thank you so much😘. Maastricht is beautiful, all the different sceneries here in the Netherlands make it worthwhile to visit once. I live close to the water on the other side near to Middelburg. Love your videos, Arica. Beautiful finish. You may be interested in Katie Strachan Embroidery if you haven’t seen her flosstube already. She is designing and stitching a reversible band sampler to place in her stitched casket. She stitches I believe, exclusively in silk. She also likes to bling her prim work with crystals and such. I think you would like her.
